This mix is my latest take on techno. Building up the set towards a "killer" ending. Give it all or do nothing...i gave it all. 

In search of new tracks i soon realised that this mix would be something else. Deep spheres, grooving basslines and rolling kicks are the fundamentals. As resident of @technostateinc. I make mixes for live events later on. To see what track makes sense or not these tryouts are verry important to me. I can't wait to play with these tracks live!

Intentional, energetic, and grounded - these are the characteristics that have been shaping Nick Moody since he first stepped into the DJ booth at the age of 11. As the kid that he was, he played at Thunderdome Radio for an audience of 30,000 people worldwide. This was followed by performances at places like Thunderdome, Mysteryland, and Studio 80. Later on, Nick became a versatile contributor to the electronic music scene. He played a significant role in Amsterdam’s Warehouse Elementenstraat movement, followed by his involvement in Reaktor and Lofi where he is active to date.
Over the years, Nick developed a profound view on techno, resulting in his debuts at Boiler Room, Unpolished, and his beloved Warehouse Elementenstraat. Today, Nick hones his craft from his studio in Berlin, translating his vision into a tribal-induced, driving sound that evokes a holistic sensation of collective involvement on the dance floor. With a personality moulded by electronic music culture since his formative years, Nick is shaping the future while respecting the past - inviting dancers on an introspective journey towards our primal roots of unity, movement, and sound. For our first ever episode in the Dreamcast series we welcome Oneiros Records label boss, DJ ONEIROS. Originally from Ireland and now based in Toronto, Canada, DJ ONEIROS draws inspiration from the diverse and dynamic music scenes of both countries, infusing his sets with a unique blend of Celtic mysticism and modern techno energy. With a sound that is at once dark and atmospheric, groovy and hypnotic, DJ ONEIROS is establishing himself as an up and coming artist in the electronic music scene. His sets are characterized by a relentless energy and an unwavering commitment to pushing the boundaries of what is possible with techno, taking listeners on a journey through the depths of the human psyche and beyond.

Here are a few words from DJ ONEIROS on his mix, "super excited to be doing the very first mix in the Dreamcast series. I had a lot of fun recording this one. It is a bit of a journey from dark and hypnotic to fast and groovy. Hope to have people bopping their heads throughout the mix and by the end, have them on their feet dancing. It also features one unreleased track from myself. Make sure to check it out."

We then asked him about what people can expect for the Dreamcast series going forward and what he is excited most about, "through the Dreamcast series we hope to showcase talented DJs from around the world. We will aim to have different styles from across the techno genre. Then I am pretty excited about everything that is happening with Oneiros Records at the moment. We have a few releases being finalized and will hopefully have some fresh new music out soon. Make sure to follow our socials for updates."

When you say Techno in the West Coast for sure the name Drumcell will pop up. On our third edition of OSCUR Podcast we have the honor to bring to you none other than Moe Espinosa AKA Drumcell.

Drumcell was born as Moe Espinosa in Los Angeles’ San Gabriel Valley. Far away from the glamour and glitter of Hollywood, he cut his teeth growing up in a vibrant, culturally diverse neighborhood that still breeds inspiration for his work. San Gabriel Valley is also where he and the Raíz brothers, Vangelis and Vidal, met and founded Droid Behavior in the early 2000s which lead to the infamous Interface warehouse series and lauded techno label Droid Recordings.

A classically trained musician in his youth, Moe came to circulate around the Noise, Punk and Industrial scene, playing guitar and singing in various bands until he discovered the early ‘90s L.A. rave scene. That was when he got in touch with some of the heroic synthesizers of techno’s early years. His enthusiasm for those synthetic sounds lead to a career as a Product Specialist at Native Instruments and to independent musician and engineer work across Los Angeles.

By then, Moe was chuffed to pursue his own productions. When he handed out his first self-produced, self- pressed vinyls at the Detroit Electronic Music Festival in 2001, he heard them being played from the festival stages the very next day. Since then, he has released original productions or remixed tracks on DROID, CLR, Electric Deluxe, Dystopian, Torque, Silent Steps, Blank Code, Ibadan, Detroit Underground, and much more. This style has caught the attention of many of the world’s top techno jocks, with strong track support from the likes of Luke Slater, Speedy J, and Chris Leibing. This style has also reached numerous prestigious international clubs and festivals. From Berlin's techno mecca Berghain to the main stage of The Movement in Detroit to North American nightclubs like Output and Stereo to festivals across Europe, Latin America, Japan and Australia - Drumcell’s sound can be heard around the world.

In 2016, Drumcell debuted his ambient project HYPOXIA on his experimental label BL_K NOISE. Inspired by science fiction soundtracks and the sounds of artists like John Carpenter, Wendy Carlos, Goblin and Vangelis, the Hypoxia release steps away from the dance floor and into a broader space of contemplative drama and rich texture. Producing infinite movement with his Buchla and Eurorack systems, Hypoxia all hardware performance has been heard at highly curated atmospheres from Berghain in Berlin to Brooklyn’s Greyscale Series at Output to pop-up concerts on the LA River.

Drumcell explores and discovers the analogue world as much as the digital world of music production, to finally combine them into his very own raw, suspenseful and hypnotic style. Influenced by a myriad of music as well as science fiction and machines, he has developed an addiction to analog synthesis which has led to ceaseless experiments in his studio in search of new, mind-expanding sounds. As one of the most esoteric techno artists in North America, his sound disregards genre limitations and is everything but conventional techno.
