Primary [colours] life begins with the Echo Inspector's creation, Lunar Shadows. Exploring the depths of space, Lunar Shadow’s form begins humble, discreet, with its stealth like kick forming structure around dark matter, playful hats, deep sub and intertwining textures and layered frequencies. Life emerges organically, evolving before it takes one final deep breath and re-emerges capable and built for the un-yielding journey ahead before finally completing its calling.

﻿Lunar Shadow’s second incarnation comes by the way of the talented Luke Hess [DeepLabs/Echocord/FXHE].  Lunar Shadows finds new life with its forceful techno pattern.  Gritty, warm chords layer themselves over an insistent rhythm while off beat micro-organisms keep stride. Gentle pads envelop and grow in authority, weaving their way through the groove, creating power, tension and intensity - consequently leading Lunar Shadows to become an everlasting memory before finally waning and leaving you wanting for more.

Over the ages the Moon has helped us describe everything from rarity, love and lunacy. This release is another interpretation by us to the overstanding sphere in the sky.

4 dense strikes inspired by early exposure to ill-contextualised exotic cultural imports (i.e. encountering 80s anime & NTSC-J games without a proper frame of reference or easy access to the Internet) and the resulting damage; plus a sweet remix by Matt Nida. 

All tracks slowly crafted on a PSP running LittleGPTracker in bad dark frenzies 2014/15. Glory to the Pig. 

Lemon No Yume is an ugly re-interpretation of PSY・S' beautiful Lemon No Yuuki. Everything else conceived & combined by Comptroller.

The tree tracks here all contain field recordings made near Jason’s adopted home of Aberdeen, Scotland, at a beautiful spot on the Moray coast called Findhorn Bay.  Recordings of found sound from late night beach walks, birdsong and the low hum of the nearby military airfield have been mixed into Ambient and Dub Techno tracks which encompass the liberal use of tape delay effects, reverb soaked decays, and dark brooding and pulsing basslines.

The music is on first place for us and what we searching for is an artist who can offer passion and emotion through his/her tracks. We have a purpose to keep and spread deep electronic music on the scene. It is all about emotion and atmosphere for us. Music inspired by nature, darkness, space, city life or urban surroundings is what we appreciate.

Binary Trax is a electronic music co-operative and independent label from Aberdeen Scotland. We started our nights Binary School in 2013 and have had the pleasure of hosting over 40 local, national and international producers. 
We are a non-profit co-operative who began as a venue for producers to come and play whatever type of electronic music they produced. In the last 3 years we’ve hosted drone ambient to speedcore artists and most genres in-between. 
 
Binary School’s aims are simple: give gig time to local producers, create a space where gender / race / age / sexuality are never an issue, play good quality music and dance. Binary Trax releases will be a reflection of that diversity In style and substance.
