In Japanese, “saimin” has dual meanings: hypnosis (催眠) and relieving the sufferings of the people (済民). Saimin aspires to bring both of these elements to every set he spins, crafting deep and hypnotic grooves that touch your soul and make you dance. 

Saimin first fell in love with the pounding beats of techno in the scene’s early years in Detroit, later moving to San Francisco and becoming active in the house scene. A brief stint in Tokyo was where he would begin to hone his DJ skills by playing small techno parties before eventually returning to San Francisco. 

Whether spinning a deep & minimal house set or dropping raw, hypnotic techno, Saimin’s unique taste and style thread together evolving soundscapes of driving beats and soulful basslines that take control of your body and emotions.
