Our next guest mix comes from Théotime aka Timéo, a DJ and vinyl collector from Rennes (France) who has a big passion for house and funk records with a deep, soulful and balearic infused sound and atmosphere from all over the world.

"I have to say that your graphic identity inspired me a lot to record this set, it brought me a balearic breeze in my flat and, moreover, I recorded it just before going on week-end on the coast with my girlfriend during few days. This mix, as others I recently recorded, is dedicated to an imaginary of holidays in the South-East of France or in Italy, driving on the East coast, going to an open-air party. This imagination that follows me since few weeks makes me feel good at a time when we still have a curfew here in France. I have to say too that the Giorgio Lopez's album is a huge source of inspiration too in this way. Eclectic Journeys aka Silas Wager, alias set up for Balearic and Leftfield edits. takes you on the fantastic music journey with an eclectic selection that fits into the Balearic / Leftfield category. These categories aren’t limited to a single genre, it’s often more about the feel of a song, it’s production, or how it’s different from the norm. So you might hear every genre under the sun from Eclectic Journeys, from Ambient to Zouk and everything in between.

Eclectic Journeys aka Silas Wager, who grew up in north London, and found himself immersed in the extensive music scenes, starting with Rare Groove parties in the mid 80's that often shared a room with Dj's playing acid house music, Hedonism was one such club, a small (very small) warehouse near Hanger Lane roundabout, where you would also see live jazz funk bands playing. While he loved clubs that specialized in just one genre like RIP in Clink Street that played Acid and House music all night, or Confusion, it was clubs like Shoom that took you on a real musical journey, from hearing deep hypnotic and balearic beats to suddenly hearing a song you remember from the charts in the early 80's.

It's safe to say that this mix has been a long time in the planning. Delfonic is an outstanding producer who were a BIG fans of at LV online. His productions are exciting and dancefloor shaking and as a DJ he is right up there with the absolute best out there. Originally we had planned this mix to go with the release of his brilliant Edits EP on Nomada, only problem was it was so hot that it soul out pretty much immediately so with a repress in the pipeline we decided to hold back. Well now it's out and back on the shelves and we are very pleased to invite Delfonic to our Disco Selectors series. We have a full interview incoming on Monday but in the meantime we had a quick chat with Delfonic about the mix check it out here:
