07. Garburel

Mix07 is from Garburel, a local 25-year-old deep music digger and vinyl collector from Stockholm. 
Sparked early by his actor and musician family, his musical inspiration deepened during his teenage years as a freeride skier, where he was introduced to, and fell in love with, rap music, which opened the door to the world of electronic sounds. A decade later, he was introduced to vinyl records by a close childhood friend, and quickly developed a passion for the hunt of interesting labels, cool beats and forgotten records.

Collaborating with different crews and DJing at various parties, Garburel is creating new musical experiences and greatly contributing to a dynamic music scene in Stockholm, so we've invited him to share a journey through some of his collection here, so you can hear/feel what he's about through this vinyl-only curated selection.

After videos circulating of raresh and Ricardo hammering most of the ep in one of there legendary b2b sets at fabrics birthday and other big names spinning it throughout the summer of 24’ it’s been highly anticipated by those in the know.

The record starts with the stunningly crafted ‘bigger’ with a lovely mix of subtle electronics and warm pads. A2 ‘ode to e’ is a breaks piece of dreamy tones and vocal patterns. On the heavy and darker b side the naughty bass of ‘quartet’ heads b1. Built for an attack on the floor with its vocoder driven rhythm.
