A young R&B musician who infused his sound with modern Pop and Hip-Hop, KNGRCHRD (Richard Jones-Muhammad) won't let his underground teeny-bopper image slow him down from progressing into a fully grown artist. Taking inspiration from old-school sounds like Stevie Wonder and Michael Jackson, and faces more familiar to this generation like Chris Brown, Justin Timberlake, Pharrell, and even PARTYNEXTDOOR, you can never know what to expect just by looking at the title of his songs. After taking a hiatus from the industry in 2012, Richard plans to break free of his "young heart-throb" wannabe days by reinventing himself and constantly looking for new ways to grow. "I'm no longer using music to create an image [people want to see] for me," says Jones-M., "I want people to see me for who I truly am. To know me, and hopefully relate to what I've been through." Outside of his own musical career, he likes to write and produce and has worked with artists like Tinashe, NAO, and Tory Lanez.
