We curate queer sex-positive parties with equally queer line-ups, featuring mostly non-binary and trans DJs. Our aim is to platform artists with gender identities that are under-represented in the music industry, showing that it is possible to have more inclusive and diverse booking practices without a decrease in musical quality, but in fact with an increase by bringing new and previously unheard perspectives to the dance floor.

Discovering and nurturing new talent is at the very essence of SUBVERTED. We stand in resistance to the homogenisation and sanitisation to which the techno industry has been subjected in recent years via formulaic, easily-digested productions and repetitive line-ups, and intend to continue opening the industry's gates for a new generation of artists that are pushing their own unique and fresh take on dark industrial techno.

Techno - hypnotic, groovy and raw 🖤

Raev, born in the early ‘90s, found her passion for techno in 2009. She taught herself how to DJ in 2019 and had her first gigs starting in 2020. Over the years, she developed her own style - a mix of hypnotic elements, harder grooves and driving techno - always aiming to shape a space where people can float, let go, and feel carried by the energy. She has always been inspired by the Berlin techno sound. A big milestone for her was winning an international DJ contest, which led to a booking at the Phase2 WNTR FSTVL in Sicily. That moment, along with the nights she spent behind the decks in renowned German clubs, helped her lock in her sound and she hasn’t looked back since.
