"Birds of Bliss" is the latest musical offering from the Colorado based artist Cualli. The majority of the material from the album was written in the tropics of Costa Rica after a nearly three month stay in the Amazon jungle of northern Peru. The seed of the album began to grow when the tune for the song which would later become "Dragon" was etched into Aaron's consciousness during a ceremony. "Dragon" was the first song out of the eight that comprise the album to be written and is the track that set the tone and tempo for the rest to follow. Patience and fine craftsmanship run through this work marking Cualli's ripest collection of songs to date.

Three (VIP)

Rook and Knowa's "Volume 1." EP is the type of collaboration EP you would expect from two eccentric and genius audio scientists - sort of like Rick and Morty making music. This diverse release includes the Neuro, Electro-Swing, Glitch-Hop anthem "I Got a New Lady", a Moombahton influenced banger with a Jungle Book twist, some straight up sci-fi videogame experimental music, and is finished off with a cinematic head nodding remix by the young California artist, Novascope. Combining interdimensional bass ignitions, eclectic rhythms, stylistic funky beats, and luscious grooves, this experimental EP is a fresh outlook in redefining collaboration and wide-ranging taste. A galactic whirlpool of imaginary, innovative, and next level fusions are felt as each soundscape flows through seamless expressions.

Fresh off a successful year of music releases, music festival performances, and co-headlining runs, Templo comes to Gravitas Recordings to debut his long-awaited creation, Mountains Can’t Cry. This six-track EP is rooted within Liam’s inspiration from world instruments and sounds in nature. After producing an array of diverse styles and genres over the past few years, he would always find himself returning to Mountains Can’t Cry whenever he needed to relax. Evident within the EP's melodic fusion, Mountains Can’t Cry was an outlet where he was able to let the music flow naturally. Liam has always been attracted to ethnic and dub reggae styles of music, and listeners can expect to hear more organic sounds in future releases to come.

“Magnetics” quickly establishes the ethnic and reggae grooves that are to come as an experimental soundscape enters, riddled with a sampled atmosphere of those who inhabit the area. As the sun goes down and darkness overlays, “The Owl Watches” throughout the night, examining the mischief and mistreatment that has been done through a series of ominous strings. Cries from the mountain attempt to produce during “Shot In The Dark,” but they struggle to form once the psychedelic dub acoustics make their strike. Wandering along the Earth, “Tommy Heads West” to further detect world instruments that accompany groovy riffs and oscillation. “They Gone” introduces the meek weeps from sentient creatures that strive to vocalize on behalf of the mountain. As nature itself begins to power down in “RedShotScandal,” the tides abruptly turn as living creatures and world fusion collide to form a powerhouse of hope for the silent mountain.

"The Third Omen" is the newest release from bass music aficionado and Headtron heavy-hitter GoldRush, released February 14th on Gravitas Recordings. Driven by a mixture of 808 drums and lavish yet tense chord progressions, the seven track EP manifests both sexy and psychedelic characteristics. Slurping and distorted basslines are presented through left-field polyrhythms, which are skillfully alternated with retro synthesis and intelligent lead melody. Vocalists Evar After & Eileen Esposito bring a dreamy, celestial quality to the EP, fitting perfectly with GoldRush's provocative, jazzy style.

In the first moments of "The First Omen (A.W.A.K.E.)", it's difficult to tell where the track will take you -- but soon pitch shifting blips merge with stuttering stabs creating a harmonious unison. "Finally on the Fritz" takes a bit more serious tone; it's arrangement bounces back and forth between sharp, varying bass sounds founded in deliberate composition. Next in line, "Closer" time travels back to GoldRush's earlier days with a flirtatious vocal and a polished, compelling beat. "Loaded Silence" speeds the pace up, providing a simultaneous haunting and beauteous elation. Classical theory prevails in the title track presented through fluttering keys, but "Forever Yours" closes out the EP in funky fashion, focusing on the vocal's interplay with the modulated brass and tiny percussion.
