These are the lost tapes of the KoffeeBreak recording sessions of 2003, recorded at Avilon Audio in Burbank California. These sessions were produced and engineered by Greg Vossberg, and produced by Dann, John, and Greg. Here you can listen to the recordings of each piece of the songs separately. You can hear John in the booth playing the guitar parts, and you can hear Dann and John's isolated vocal tracks. 

John Obray and Dann Saxton met when they were 14 at a Troop 57 Boy Scout meeting in the basement of the Methodist church in Fairmont Minnesota. Then soon after, one day at school in Granada Minnesota, Dann saw a kid with purple hair walk by his classroom. It was the new kid, John Obray. But Dann and John already knew eachother, and became great friends and class clowns together, and more importantly - they became each other's first songwriting partners. The rest is history.
"Big Handed Wonder", "Ode To My Creators", and "Sweet and Sour Chicken" were all written when the guys were 15/16. Their good friend Sean Ingledew penned the verses for "Ode To My Creators". KoffeeBreak finally recorded in July of 2003 when John visited Dann in Los Angeles, where he lived and was pursuing a career in film and music. They recorded these songs at Avilon Audio in Burbank, California ~ with studio owner and Dann's mentor, Greg Vossberg.
It was on this trip that they wrote and recorded a new song, "All That Matters", which would be the last song they ever wrote together, and this trip would be the last time they ever saw eachother. John lost his life in a car accident on April 30, 2004.
John's legacy lives on through the music he wrote and recorded, and through the many lives he touched during his life. A nonprofit called UnityShows was birthed in tribute to John and to continue his efforts to bring music to small areas like Fairmont/Granada Minnesota. Dann continued to write and release music under band names Elmwood, Butane, and Kill The Complex - and went on to write music for tv and films like Godzilla(2014). Dann currently resides in Marina Del Rey, California.
