Hypnotic Black Magic is a Berlin-based Ambient DJ.
Creator of Ambient Sleepers and resident at Art Bei Ton, HBM's goal is to create musical journeys oscillating between dark and bright energies.
Inspired by ritualistic music, atmospheric ambient and hypnotic techno, she offers through her sets an exploration of obscure, meditative and sensual emotions.

Emika Elena is a Berlin based DJ/producer and founder of @emikaelenahml.

Music has always been a huge part of her life, ever since she started playing piano in her family home at the age of 4, but it was the discovery of techno in her early teens that led her to become a DJ.
Her trademark sound is often described as "hypnotic darkness" which intersects expressions of ambient, experimental, and techno in her mixes.

She is breaking out of standards and creating a new feeling of deepness and true creativity. You can hear her authenticity carrying you to the spheres of your inner soul.

It’s August 2021 and this time the podcast series is back with yet another rising artist from South-America. The Argentinian Vanoni, who now resides in Buenos Aires, serves up a truly smashing mix for us. 

Originally from Patagonia, Vanoni was able to kickstart his passion for music production and DJ-ing in full devotion from the year 2018 onwards. His productions are mostly affected by hypnotic and abstract sounds, usually induced by sonically rich harmonies and an extraordinary sense of cosmic drama. It’s fair to say that Vanoni’s latest recordings and releases, characterized by enveloping textures, tribalistic sounds and reverberating pads, deserve to be put right in the spotlight. 

Impressively, Vanoni managed to release his work on labels like Danza Nativa, Ritualism, From A Lost Place, and N F E R E E to name a few. Besides, he has put together various other first-class podcasts for labels such as The Memoir. With the recording you’re about to listen, he clearly follows up on this quality. In her ambient sets, she favours the ethereal, rhythmic & tribalistic side, which is stimulating the mind + body and catching the soul. Inspired by nature, Vicky transmits with her music a call to connect again with yourself, nature and spirituality.

An electronic music duo from Macedonia, currently based in Skopje. The name Binary Thoughts may speak for itself, but there is a much deeper meaning embedded within.
The ancestral way of thinking has always been ‘binary’. To understand nature and all its phenomena, we made a world of oppositions (day/night, sun/moon, male/female). Where the law of “all or nothing” rules, there is no in-between. But the reality is indeed always more complex and more interconnected than what our ‘perception’ of the world suggests.
This perception beyond this “all or nothing” connected Ana Bogatinovska and Jovana Gjorgievska. At first strangers to each other, they met at a music festival in their native country; And after a long discussion about electronic music, they’ve decided to do a project that will connect their somewhat different but similar taste in electronic music.
Their melancholic, delicate and hypnotic sounds use ‘binary thinking’ as a motor to press on to a third term or a higher category that represents a transcending reconciliation or unity: where thesis and antithesis are always harnessed to yield a synthesis. Where seemingly opposite or contrary forces may actually be complementary: Yin and Yang.
Currently, they are exploring the vast horizons of deep and hypnotic soundscapes intending to create their unique blend of creativity to start producing their music. Enjoy <3

This EP is a whole sensory experience in itself. If you close your eyes and let yourself go, a vast desert - as far as the eye can see - will present itself.

The first track, Atacama, is led by a rhythm which takes form in the low frequencies. A few sounds appear, of which the origins are unknown, to mix themselves into this sonic retranscription of a walk in the world's most arid environment. 

Mercury then follows, beginning in a contemplative way with deep synth layers, before gradually increasing in intensity through a sequence of hypnotic sounds. Each note is witness to a tumultuous environment. 

Biocym's remix takes you even deeper into a realm. Entrancing, almost seductive, this take on Mercury shows you the darker side of the desert.

Tatooine, defined by its pure bass and sprinkled with de-structured and luminous sounds, feels like a musical hush, putting an end to the tornado of emotions experienced until now.

Eyvind is a producer and Dj based in Sweden. He sees electronic music as a transcendence of consciousness, a way to reach deeper in the subconscious and pick up presence without distractions. "We are so used to constantly looking outward", but with electronic music he sees the opportunity to open up for what is within and, whatever it may be, meet it and finally let go of it. Large minimalistic shredded audio images and monotonous repeating sounds, deep kicks and rhythmic bass lines characterise Eyvind´s style. He likes to work with energies and atmospheres and every track he creates or looks for from other artists has its unique way of showing that. In this mix you will hear two unreleased tracks and one from his latest Album; ”Västberga Allé” released on Oslated, among other inspirations.
