Calling an EP “Devil” although it will most certainly conjure a smile on the face of any elctronic music enthusiast might come as a surprise, or even cause confusion. 
But let’s be fucking serious, when Boris Brejcha picked this title, he had probably no evil thoughts in mind but was rather daydreaming of one of his many shows that are known to turn any club into a diabolically hot sweat lodge due to the energetic atmosphere and ecstatic crows. 
So in the end you could arque that the title of his new EP seems long overdue. 

The name giving A-Side comes as clean and to the point as we know it from Boris Brejcha.
A rolling beat that never looks back but marches forward, driven by pure energy and nifty as hell. 
Let the speaking devil suck you into this dark piece of High-Tech Minimal and join the ride for almost the minutes. 

Right from the start “The Darkest Night” reveals an even groovier drive that makes it sound unstoppable. Furthermore the track turns out to be an emotional rollercoaster in the form of a roaring and intimidating fanfare that fades in and out before a catchy melody line spreads a thoughtful and intimate atmosphere. This B-side will definitely make you want to go for another round…and another round…

Last but not least this “devilish” EP will end “In The Middle Of Nowhere”. But unlike the name implies, Boris Brejcha is taking you right to his musical epicenter. 
Expect one of Boris’ most multifaceted tracks that prove why his career continues to skyrocket.

Innellea return to Afterlife with another EP of unique dancefloor creations.

The duo first appeared on Afterlife late in 2018 with the striking sounds of Vigilans. They’re now back with four more tracks brimming with their signature, organic percussion and ever-original touch.

‘The White Blanket’ is hauntingly beautiful, with an eerie vocal and piercing synth line at its core. The title track is equally epic, balancing dark and bright, uplifting elements to a euphoric effect. ‘Visionquest’ and ‘We Thrive’ continue the theme with two singular and inspired takes on the Afterlife sound.

A new artist to the Particles roster, Dangur builds on a long history of success with his "Midnight Vultures" EP. Remixes come from German and Hungarian stars.

An artist whose continued rise to prominence throughout 2018 and 2019 has seen a life-long passion for music translated onto success on such labels as Klangwelt, Krafted Underground and Friday Lights Music, now make his Particles debut. The title track is an elegantly sculpted affair that bristles with atmospheric textures and sonic soundscapes before a heavy beat and delayed percussive groove add 4/4 familiarity. Breathy vocals and rippling arpeggio add power in the second half as do atmospheric piano and searing legato Moog lead. "Voltage Baby" opens with delicious rolling groove, syncopated bassline and prominent vocal treatment. A rasping open-filtered bass provides power post-breakdown as melodic character takes over in a dark dancefloor destroyer. Co-produced by Mark Finkel the smooth melodic interplay of "Bungee With Zeus", sees shuffling percussive intent combine with subterranean kick and woodblock groove. Rippling keys and shrill lead erupt into the third movement to create a beautifully melodious and understated offering high in technique and craft. A rich bassline underpins "Metal Beard" as open hi-hats and shakers add percussive intent. A rasping Moog lead provides Bodzin-like hypnotic intrigue and textured pads slide across the left-right spectrum with ease.

Renowned producer, Thyladomid, hits the ground running with his Particles debut. Regular on the likes of Doppelgaenger, City Life and Solomun's Diynamic, the German artist responsible for 2018's magnificent "Places" album for Traum, demonstrates his considerable production talent with a haunting and powerful reworking of the title track. Making full use of the vocals present in the original, the Thyladomid remix weaves a glittering array of detuned pads, off-beat percussion and hypnotic blips around a running techno bassline that drives relentlessly forward alongside heavy beat and characteristic production technique.

Hungarian duo, Peter Makto and Gregory S are no strangers to the world of underground dance music with a combined triple century of production credits to their names. Able to point to a catalogue of material that has seen them grace the likes of Go Deeva, Dear Deer and Hoomidaas, their own Truesounds imprint has also been a regular home for their work. 2018's "Purple Rain" EP saw an impressive Proton Music debut, while remixes for Michael A and Hot TuneiK completed the picture. Now featuring on Particles with their No Distance alias, the duo's remix of "Voltage Baby" packs a heavy punch with chest-thumping kick, rumbling sub-bass groove and subtle ticking percussion. Vocals from the original shine through before a shimmering lead-line in the second half picks up and extends on the melodic themes resonant in Dangur's original.

A quartet of original tracks from Dangur plus remixes from Thyladomid and Peter Makto and Gregory S, keep the "Midnight Vultures" firmly at bay.

From a storied city, youthful fascination saw Starkato "Wake Up" to electronic music. Blossoming with techno brilliance, fizzing synthesised lines crackle in summer lightning strikes. A menacing bassline looms large over Berlin, panning LFOs reveal an omnipresence against a powerful metrical backdrop. Cold and motionless, circuitry is brought to life in "Parada" where an analogue narrative continues through the German capital. Warm motifs pulsate in waves across ancient architecture as the beating heart of a city at European centre is mirrored in metronomic pulse.

Radiating light across the Mediterranean, Ampish shines brightly over Alexandria. Sonic waves glisten across the seas in percussive rhythms, a siren rouses all from night-time reverie. "Wake Up" reinterpreted in dynamic fashion from an Egyptian star in ascendance, as powerful chords and emotive patterns flourish. Returning with typical aplomb, Tantum brings "Parada" to life with passion and emotion. A rippling arpeggio explodes into life alongside powerful bassline presence and machine-gun fire percussion. Karlsruhe is the epicentre of creative virtuosity where rhythm and melody combine in symbiotic harmony.

Mass Digital - Lonely Souls

'Higher States enters the summer season by welcoming Navar to the label for his debut EP. Through releasing material on Guy J’s Lost & Found Records, the Dutch artist emerged in 2014, firmly establishing himself in the world of deep melodic house. Subsequent releases for Cid Inc’s Replug Records, Hernan Cattaneo’s Sudbeat Music and Belgian Events brand EDGE, further solidified Navar’s place amongst the genre’s elite.  Now following a remix of Eric Lune’s ‘Benji’ to begin the year, Navar presents his first original project of 2020 via Roger Martinez’s Higher States.

Spread across four tracks, Navar explores a broad spectrum of organic sensibilities on ‘High Noon’, beginning with the free-flowing tranquillity of ‘Moon At The Window’. A bed of broken beats and exotic drums sets the stage for hypno grooves and pixie-like melodies. Transcendent and glowing in equal measure, it’s fuzzed out stabs, incandescent harmonies and unpredictability showcases an artist operating at his creative peak. ‘Desert Storm’ follows suit with a similarly charming quality. Subtle shades and fragmented tones coverage as the narrative evolves, creating a contemplative yet emotive drawl which is sure to resonate on multiple levels. 

Beginning the EP’s second wave are the dulcet beats of ‘Arctic Vibez’. Spacious and smooth, it’s a piece built around warm bass tones and luminous cascades. Spiralling overlays strike at opportune moments, blanketing the robust framework onwards to a meditative finale. Rounding out the release is the title selection ‘High Noon’ which finds Navar flexing the peak time prowess of his studio repertoire. Sitting comfortably between the playful and emotive, it’s dusty percussion and bouncy arps bring texture and drive to a brilliant rhythmic theme. Tranquil tones and smooth chord changes marry for an elegant apex, ultimately putting a stamp on this sensational release. Sure to be an important piece in Navar’s discography, it’s a collection of music which further solidifies his place amongst the progressive house elite, while continuing to forge new sonic blueprints for the future.'

Steadily becoming a household & influential name for aspiring producers & forward-thinking DJs alike, Kasper Koman's unique musical identity comes from a passion to push the boundaries in sound-design along with intelligent composition techniques within the existing frame-work of underground electronic music. 'Polish producer Enigmatic provides the 80th release on Darin Epsilon's Perspectives Digital with two new tracks titled "He Looked So Happy" and "Hidden Dimension", accompanied by an expertly crafted remix from Mass Digital.

An established artist from the ancient city of Poznan in central Poland, Mariusz Czarniak is no stranger to the electronic music scene. Through his Enigmatic production alias, he has been a regular across clubs in Warsaw, Poznan, and Gdansk alongside such celebrated names as Jonas Saalbach and Budakid. A portfolio that includes well over a century of production credits stretching back almost 15 years is no less impressive, featuring releases on Traum, Saturn Return, 3rd Avenue, trndmsk, and Electronic Tree, run by fellow countryman Tuxedo.

A rich sonic palette paints a vivid Organic House picture in "He Looked So Happy" that drives forward with pumping sidechain compression. A glistening array of motifs generate sublime counterpoint phrasing that sees a chiming arpeggio sequence come to the fore at the breakdown alongside beautiful ambient effects. Picking up pace again in the second half, the combination of rhythm and melody is a joy to behold and a perfect summer antidote.

"Hidden Dimension" provides a deeper Progressive House vibe with its cavernous rolling bassline, metronomic kick, and offbeat percussion. Intelligently arranged melodic phrasing adds depth while textured pads, filtered arpeggio, and white noise washes create tension and emotion at the midpoint. Hitting its stride in the second half, Enigmatic delivers a pulsating summer stormer of a track.

With an enviable production portfolio, Boris Mijolic is as prolific as he is talented. Through a decade-long career and 700+ production credits to his name as Mass Digital, the Serbian has continued to find his music aligned to the very finest underground imprints such as All Day I Dream, Kindisch, Akbal, TRYBESof, Bar25, Sol Selectas, and Toolroom. His label debut is a hugely impressive offering that expands and builds on the elements found in "He Looked So Happy". Taking the central chiming arpeggio as a backdrop, new chord progressions and melodic percussive patterns play off each other with smooth vocal breaths and a whistling glissando motif. The result is a laidback Organic House offering that showcases Mass Digital's creativity and technique in abundance.'

From La Plata in Argentina, we welcome a debut on the label as Nicolas Vicente, more known to our community as Nobilis brings on another sensational progressive production, this one named as “Magno” to make his first steps on the label. He's been on our radar for a long time and his music has always been heartwarming to us. It's full of deep and moody textures, clever melodic hooks and that great blend of harmony and energy that we so often seek for. We absolutely love what he’s created here and we do think it’s one of those rare gems you wouldn’t want to miss for the world.

On remix duty, we see another 2 debut in our ever growing PHW Elements family. They are through no strangers to the scene. First out is a remix from Nicos fellow countryman, Juan Sapia. He’s a producer earning his recognition over the years with releases through labels such as Sudbeat, Plattenbank, The Soundgarden and many more to his back catalog. We are of course thrilled to see him team up with us on the label and take this beautiful original on. He surely takes his own tweaks and builds this his own way. Through warm moods, clever percussion layering and that melody driven feel he strikes with his full plethora of sounds that got him the recognition he so well deserves, it’s class from start to finish.

We also see another Argentina based producer team up with us as the ever surprisingly Fabri Lopez teams up with us on PHW Elements. He’s a producer that echoed around the globe through his fine selections of sounds and a producer that we always felt earned his praise. With a fresh remake of the original idea, giving it a fantastic atmosphere, clever deep textures and everything in between, he surely makes something really strong to place on the label as a debut. 

A fantastic release and something we are so proud to have on the label, awesome guys!
