À la lisière du monde civilisé, la bête.  Elle a choisi l’aube.

"On ne se perd jamais en groupe" prétendait le réalisateur Yann Paranthoën pour souligner l'intérêt - pour créer - de préserver des situations de dérive solitaire (versus le travail collectif hiérarchiquement ordonné) ! Comme pour faire mentir cette assertion, Felix Blume et ses stagiaires ont cherché, eux, à se perdre collectivement. Ils nous livrent une Camargue sans touristes, enregistrée au petit matin sous un ciel voilé, la menace permanente d'un orage tonnant au loin. A la lisière de l'Etang, en bordure de mer, des micros se faufilent dans les roselières, tandis que d'autres plongent sous la surface de l’eau, un imaginaire prend forme, des Toros meuglent, une bête (la «  bête du Vaccarès » ?) s'agite !
Enregistrement et montage de ce film sans images ni paroles ont été réalisés dans le cadre du workshop field-recording organisé par Phonurgia Nova avec Félix Blume, par Clément Bernardeau, Léa Capuano, Mathieu Chiaverini, Caroline Henry, Marie Muller, Fabienne Pélage, Nayra Prieto et Emmanuel Vigier

N'ayez crainte

A split 12” with four soulful and danceable IDM jams by Lucita Octans and DJ Lifegoals. The opening track Aegian Chrome features phat bassline, funky breakbeat and otherworldly synths. The other Lucita track Last Lane Shuffle gets busier with intricate rhythms and synth riffs that tell a surreal story. On the flipside, Anesthz starts with a rough uptempo breakbeat and slowly introduces a super soulful and funky bass pattern alongside some choice pads. The second DJ Lifegoals track Parallax Vision introduces ultra-funky bassline and develops into a rich tapestry of sound. These warm hardware jams really put the letter “D” back to IDM!

Sunshine Pub was one of the most spectacular afterhour clubs in munich. here came all the people who just wanted to go crazy.
The chatter in the song is pretty much the same as the communication in the club itself. Drunk, stoned or out of the universe. For amusement, a clock hung on the wall. That was it. Otherwise there were horny girls, lots of beer and a sticky floor. The "pub" was as big as a living room but there were always three times as many people squeezing in. This inevitably led to new acquaintances. Unforgettable.
Unfortunately, the sunshine no longer exists.

VA. I: As a first radical letter - the inauguration of the Isabelline sound featuring four artists channeling elements of techno, dub and ambient minimalism. Limited to 120 copies on wax, finishing touches made at the mighty Dubplates & Mastering with collage artwork by Paul van Trigt. 

Berlin-based UK native and label head Practitioner has been active for nearly 2 decades under numerous aliases - releasing field recordings, musique concrete and ethnic percussive sounds; with his electronic productions floating ambiguously between dubtechno, UKG and Romanian minimal. With prior releases on Well Street, Lissoms and more, “Factor Basis” nods towards a love of analog broken techno and exquisite sound design. 

“Deviate” is the latest impeccable emission by Igor Dyachenko, whose symmetrical frequencies are precisely built on years of sound design with MaxMSP and modular equipment. Superlative “Ambient” doesn’t do justice to the textured layers of this broadcast built on unique source manipulation. 

Katsunori Sawa once again sidesteps all trends with his track “Royal Flush” - bringing down a post-club rising dirge with a savage low end tone. Based in Kyoto, Japan, where he runs 10 Label with Yuji Kondo, Sawa has been a key contributor to abstract techno, rhythmic noise and offkilter dub under a variety of pseudonyms and collaborations (Bokeh, EOC, Steven Porter). 

Cologne-based Senking has been producing lean subarctic dub, IDM & techno since 1995 with 10 releases on legendary label Raster-Noton amongst other projects. On his track “Painkiller” Jens harks back to the early 2000s spare bassweight sound which captured a generation.
