Following his triumphant return to Kompakt with SICKO (KOMPAKT 322), REX THE DOG digs deeper into the circuits of his custom-built modular synth on YOU ARE A BLADE, delivering a powerful trio of sharply contoured jams ready to cut to the chase. A true master of expressive might within a limited set of sounds, the much-acclaimed producer introduces the title track with breezy, shimmering arpeggios that are soon joined by a weighty, throbbing bassdrum - a lean and mean stealth banger that stands as unwavering as it is playful. The flipside builds an impressive amount of momentum as muscular acid-fest MUSIK HYPNOTISES stakes out raw and pounding synth stabs with its titular refrain, giving those straight-shooting riffs a properly wonked-out feel. Meanwhile, dry-witted closer WASP FACTORY pairs raspy synths with kinetic drum rolls and boldly cut-up vocal samples, another deceptively simple arrangement trimmed to perfection and for maximum effect.

2 years ago their hit "Strange" plunged the deep house faithfuls into the limelight, gaining them support from across the boarder. Adana Twins were being praised by DJs of all genres and receiving standing ovations in clubs. This resulted in a bunch of new remixes, massive press attention and a busy tour schedule all over the world, with an Australia, America and Brasil tour. Aside from their hectic worldwide touring schedule, the duo remixed "Schwarz Don't Crack" on Kitsune. Niereich - Sq #1 Killing All The Files [Premiere]

Osaka-based Erik Luebs is next up for Project Mooncircle. Although we don't know much about him, this latest project has a clear M.O: Absolute Presence is all about losing connection with the physical world and exploring a much deeper place within your mind. Suitably, "Losing It" has a real meditative charm about it - wafting, airy pads suspended above fluffy percussive movements. Things get a tad grittier towards the two-minute mark, but it's more fuzzy warmth than outright scuzz.

Absolute Presence comes out worldwide on limited coloured vinyl on September 22nd.
