Born in the dark streets of Cairo, grown to the unforgettable forests of Santa Esmeralda, spending its teen years in Bombay and Tangier markets, mature into the deep spacey Jungle of Ghana we proudly present you a new label from the land of the pyramids: SHANGO RECORDS invites you to an unheard world music psychedelic trip: like through a colorful kaleidoscope we will melt down Indian and Pakistani Vibes, Arab-Tek and Oriental groovy vibes, Afro-Beat rhythms n' pieces, Cumbia Tropicana flavors and cosmic Ghetto-Latin vibes into forbidden sounds of frenzied electronic dancefloor rituals. Outside traditional paths these driving grooves and polyphonic structures take the adventure seeking dancer to Dionysian highs and places never been before.

He did not sleep for a long time. When he did he had dreams of Endless Spirals. They were good dreams until the one that woke him. He got up then and went direct from that dream to work. He was well into the new story before the sun came up out of the sea and he did not look up from where he was to see how red the sun was. In the story he waiting for the moons to rise and he felt his dog’s hair rise under his hand as he stroked him to be quite and they both watched and listened as the moon came up and gave them shadows. His arm was around the dog’s neck now and he could feel him shivering. All of the night sounds had stopped. They did not hear the elephants and he did not see her until the dog turned his head and seemed to settle into her. Then the elephant’s shadow covered them and he moved past making no noise at all and they smelled him in the lights wind that came down from the mountain. Veytik came down with the light winds and the smell of the Moon. This is his first offering for Shango Records. These two tracks can put spirals into your deepest dreams. Elias Fassos & Risk (GR), Soble and Serkan Eles are enjoying their time with elephants between space and light.

Somehow we got the feeling, we should honor this. Why so ever, lets just do it, because it is beautiful, beacuse our music that we record and produce is also just a binary code, transforming over and over again, from our fingers on the synths, from the mic to the mixer, from the mixer into space, back on black plastics or bluetoothing through your walls directly in your ear...and this just because there is a 1 and a 0. This is why we celebrate, to say thank you to these magic numbers. Without these two little friends we would drum our techno with bones in analog caves. Naked. Oh Wait...that sounds great...the URSL Cave Raves. Mmmmh...well we will keep you in the loop on this new project. In the meantime you can listen to some electronic music from Franca, Johnny Da Cruz and The Cheapers.

Takiru - 'The Black Swan EP', including remixes from Amount, Amir Telem and SHIKU.
In recent years, Guy Shaked a.k.a Takiru has gained lots of respect as one of the finest representatives of the Tel Aviv Sound. His productions are a magistral combination of Indie Dance bangers with acidic and darkish sounds, perfectly suited to the dance-floor. Drawing influences from New Wave and Acid Techno, Takiru manages to navigate through different genres, taking the listener to a psychedelic adventure wrapped with addictive melodies.
The EP features 6 tracks; 3 originals and 3 remixes; Takiru's originals captivate the listener's mind into a meditative state while their body sails consistently to undiscovered and mysterious lands.
On remix duty, we have Nayan Soukie a.k.a Amount which is making his debut on our imprint with a fresh windy interpretation of 'Stranger Things'. Following up next, Amir Telem is coming back and serving us an introspective version of 'The Prophet'. Last but not least is Eyal Ariel a.k.a SHIKU which displays a slightly distinguished vision to the EP theme track - 'The Black Swan' while keeping the original's delightful obscure atmosphere.
