Poker Flat Recordings has been dealing out underground house music with a unique twist since 1999; from the defining debut 'Loverboy' through the Bugnology series, acclaimed albums and worldwide club hits, Steve Bug's essential imprint has unearthed new talent, developed rising stars and welcomed veterans into the fold. Steve Bug's reputation as an exceptionally gifted DJ, producer and music connoisseur is about to carry the beloved imprint to its 15th anniversary, which will be celebrated with its finest collection of raw talent yet, starting with this first installment of the anniversary series called Four Jacks.

Following the winning format of the series thus far, Part 3 boasts two slamming new remixes of classics from the vault, and two brand spanking new tracks from Poker Flat's stellar roster. Argy's 'Love Dose' of 2005 marked the debut of one of the scene's most fascinating newcomers, and defined the sound of minimal courtesy of an unforgettable remix by Luciano; now getting a 2014 update, the track has been taken to by the talented duo Audiofly, who makeover its identity with their signature sleek deep tech style. 

Two heavyweights go up against each other next, as Joeski tackles the Martin Landsky classic 'Reject'; the deep jacking soulful groove of that track is remade with a unique take on tough house beats by the Maya Records master.

Mark Henning applies his signature dark pads to a tech house humber with a light touch on 'Mad Half Hour', while Dario D'Attis provides some authentic squelchy retro funk on the irresistible '96000'. Three of the Four Jacks have now been revealed, proving again that at 15 years deep, and Poker Flat Recordings is still at the top of its game.

With “Caused Corruption & Spilled Blood“, the second release on Voidance Records, Chafik Chennouf & Katsunori Sawa have created a soundtrack of the tragic drama of humanity´s fatal flaws, meditating on the question whether the angels were right to fear mankind's creation of causing corruption and spilling blood according to an anecdote that all Abrahamic religions share.

The follow up „Mediate Between Them“ may not provide an answer to this question, but further elaborates on the topic. Whereas issues such as obstruction of truth for personal gains, affinity for internal destruction or longing for salvation were originally approached more internally by means of ambient or experimental electronics, the experience now emerges through the work of renowned artists Samuel Kerridge, Eomac, Nene H. and Stave using Noise, Techno and stepping Industrial as their weapons of choice.

Voidance Records is proud to present Chafik Chennouf & Katsunori Sawa´s vision once again, this time through different eyes of 4 unique artists. Not only is „Mediate Between Them“ the reverence these tracks deserve, but also demonstrates a huge step forward in the Label’s position as a striking new voice in contemporary electronic music.
