Theo Nasa emits an astonishing brand-new EP for 2021!

Boss man of this Alien Sound Trax imprint & one of South London's most ardent techno ambassadors proudly unveils his 3 track Matrix EP based around the legendary motion picture film released in 1999. Full-length expedition of himself in third person into the realms of underground electronic and techno.

Starting with Matrix, which was previously titled God Of Sounds is Raw, emotive and capable of transporting you from reality to an deep underground rave below our world we call earth. This track is True Romantics between your emotional centre utilising hard percussion effects joint with sharp perc hits and crispy synth lines.

Second is Matrix Reloaded that takes us out of our bodies and into the infinite realm of vibrations, waves of incredibly composed synths and an otherworldly baseline you hear creep in and out, plus the mysterious scream effect in the back sounds like it would if you was to time travel.

And finally Matrix Revolutions is the fast and furious leader out of them all, as it joins both tracks above together to almost create another version - This one in particular as Theo would describe it is for the ravers who are in all black, dark glasses swaying from side to side. As you listen closely you'll hear what sounds like wind in the background, but that was the vision of long black jackets worn by ravers swaying at an outdoor rave.

Following his ‘Worldwide Ravers EP’ on Rekids in 2020, which saw support from Ben UFO, Pangaea, India Jordan, and more, as well as appearances on World Unknown, Suara, and UNCAGE, the Alien Sound Trax boss makes his return with three tracks of high-tempo techno for Radio Slave’s techno-focussed Rekids Special Projects. 

Leading the release, ‘Nina’s Trippin’’ brings together a chopped sample of Nina Kraviz’ vocals lifted from an interview, bouncing kick drums, and warped textures for a tripped out and energetic start to the EP. ‘She’s A Manoeuvre’ keeps the energy up as quickfire percussion runs in tandem with spaced-out bass and cut-up samples before ‘Dance Like You Are Dodging Bullets’ closes out the EP with twisted FX, wild stabs, and a rolling bassline combining to form a menacing atmosphere.

Picking up where 2018's debut album left off, Pleasurekraft continue their foray into the Cosmic Techno sub-genre they ushered into the dance music lexicon, with their new LP "Love in the Age of Machines."
Arriving exclusively on Spotify initially on April 10, with other streaming platforms to follow a week later, Pleasurekraft had one of  the biggest tracks last year on Drumcode with their remix for Adam Beyer's 'Space Date,' always bring forward thinking grooves embellished with astral melodies and spaced out synths that make for emotional as well as physical experiences. 
"Love in the Age of Machines" is in no short supply of the sonic signatures the production duo have become known for, and there is a clear maturation at work here.  The album's non-techno tracks showcase an artistry rarely seen in conventional dance music and techno in particular. From the gritty dystopian future that establishes the album's themes at the onset in "Last Sapien", to the dark, rainy, urban-lit textures that form the spine of "Nostalgic for the Future", there is a sense of impending self-wrought catastrophe, tempered with a sense of wonder of all that is, and all that could be if humanity somehow overcomes its hubris. 
Things get more intense and turbulent on "Panopticon (The Patron Saint of Global Surveillance)" [ft. Thomas Gandey] before the voyage to the edges of our galaxy continues on "I Sing the Body Electric" & "Main Sequence" which keep up the enthralling techno atmospheres with increasing pressure, before the tension is released with the cinematic grandeur of "Novacene." Two more hard hitting bangers in "At the Mountains of Madness" and "Primordial" then rebuild the all consuming techno mood before you're left adrift in the cosmos with the album's swan song "Requiem For the American Dream."
As Kaveh Soroush of Pleasurekraft puts it, "Without sounding too reductionist, humans are simply a bundle of biochemical algorithms with a few holes at either end, who mistake their sensory experiences as objective, and their sense of self as something concrete, when in fact science reveals to us with each new finding that our basic intuitions about reality and the world around us have not evolved much from our first ancestors, who just wanted to make sure not to get eaten for long enough to feed and procreate on the African savannah. While there are certainly wonders about the Cosmos we have discovered given our enlarged frontal lobes, and technologies that we've invented dating back to when the first tool was built thanks to an opposable thumb, we haven't been the best custodians of the only planet that can sustain us, and history makes it abundantly clear that our wisdom lags far behind the technological advancements we develop with each new day."

Despite the overtly pessimistic tone, ultimately there is a sense of potential change on the horizon. That perhaps a species which has come up with abstract ideas of love, justice, liberty, and created works of immense artistic and scientific beauty, might just find a way to correct course before it's too late. This sense of wonder is on full display on "The Occupant" and the potential seed for our enlightenment is planted in "Corpse Reviver Number 3", a track brimming with homages to the love of philosophy and its place in navigating a more examined life.  
Ultimately "Love in the Age of Machines" feels like a dystopian sci-fi soundtrack written for optimists who want to change humanity's looming fate.  While still firmly rooted in the techno genre, the album evokes themes and ideas that are universal to the human experience and our place in the Cosmos, and it is this aspect of the album that makes "Love in the Age of Machines" such a rewarding musical experience.  It's techno that is at once accessible and intelligent, a combination rarely heard in today's endless sea of dance music.

One of Italy’s most prolific producer/DJs delivers a brace of new tracks on the ‘Rebound’ single.  Luca Agnelli has traversed a career that’s been influenced by both the house and techno originators alike.  From Todd Terry and Frankie Knuckles, to Derrick May and Jeff Mills, Agnelli’s sound has been in constant evolution since his DJ career started in the early 1990s.
 
His techno persuasions have now graced labels like Soma, Planet Rhythm, Be As One, and his own Eturia Beat imprint.  
 
‘Rebound’ is a reverb soaked acidic roller, whilst ‘Radicate’ hypnotises with pulses, tones and vocal stabs looping over a heavyweight rhythm track.

Polish, rather new to scene, but extremely talented project Random Sequence originally from Gdańsk debuts on Korpus 9 with an outstanding in every sense EP called Nitrogen Capsule. One by one all five tracks are composed into a complete masterpiece which consists of both action thriller and space adventure and combines into breathtaking science fiction genre. Beginning from daring Vocal Tool we can identify confident hard signature kick wich will follow us throughout most of the release ending with Off enriched with bassy percussion and singular mysterious string pad on the top. A bit of cosmic obscure drama awaits us in Y567 smoothly shifting to Departure wich moves deeply into hypnotic farewell ambience.

Another perfectly assembled EP from Korpus 9 worth having as a main course.

When it comes to a vivid forceful style with a ripping hard kick, we usually talk about KUSP. After a successful debut as a compilation participant, the UK duo returns to Korpus 9 this time with a striking four-track EP. Twisted opens this pleaure capsule and clearly explains what the next power wave awaits us. Since Theo Nasa is marked as featured artist in the second track - we don't expect Gettin' Deep to be less than a 'Bomb' for sure. The energy reaches its highest point with those trippy vocals going and early 00's synthlines. Then goes Phase 303 with classic TB-303 machine in action and dramatic pad on top. Breathe summarizes all we heard before into a broken beat cake with creepy vocal track inside of the mix.

Guys jump up hight and this EP strongly enhances their techno scene position and Korpus 9 Family status.
