Marcel, the real name under the moniker ‘whø?’(@who22), is a DJ based in Berlin who is behind our 4Oth N2MU podcast . This novel artist defines himself as a music lover and vinyl addict;  he made his debut as a producer last year and is already making his way in the electro scene thanks to his genre-defying interests combined with curiosity, a passion for collecting music and a good feeling to build a set.  All these vital pillars are noticeable in this cracking podcast which offers expertly-melded electro with glimpses of acid and subtle breaks. Very excited to share this set, recorded live at the Colorfloor of Lofi during Coda on the final day of ADE 2024. The warm and smokey colorfloor set the tone. A mysterious and intimate atmosphere that I wanted to translate into this 3-hour journey.

I began with lighter, fast-paced rhythms, gradually adding layers of darker soundscapes and heavier kicks. As the set progressed, I switched to a more entrancing energy, building up to an atmosphere that felt both groovy and hypnotic. An ideal handover to Kia and Reptant, who followed after me.

Two Dutch tastemakers  sharing a keen ear for distinct, bass-driven, spiraling sounds 🧬

This set marked a full-circle moment, childhood friends united behind the decks for their first ever B2B set on New Year's Day. The chemistry was palpable from the fun they were having in the booth, which radiated onto the Colorfloor and had everybody locked in, warping the energy into that special night.

Sun finds the jungle like needle on wax / Slowly it creeps until finally...SPLASH
With bright beams of sunshine, birds start to sing / The forest awakens, a new day begins!
Below tramples Crocodile, Dino at side / The kaleidoscope leaves casting prisms of light
They push on ahead, for they mustn’t be late / A brand new adventure simply can’t wait

But sometimes adventures can lead to strange places/ Sun disappears, and the weirdest of faces/
Loom from the shadows, a darkness within/ A twist in your tummy, the walls closing in/
Our two brave explorers, with widening eyes/ See the jungle hiss back, a thousand red eyes

But wait –

From the shadows, a cold silver tear/ A spaceship abandoned by lost pioneers
The friends know at once that they must get inside/ They yank and they crank till the door opens wide
But how does it work? Can it get to the sky?/ The answer is here – a button says ‘FLY’
They strap themselves in as the instruments ping/ The spaceship unfolding its silvery wings
They look at each other, all engines a-hum / Time becomes lightyears, adventure begun!
