Folk Metal band from Fregona, Veneto, Italy.

"Kanseil is a Folk Metal project begun in late 2010 in Fregona, Veneto, Italy. It's named after the ancient name of Cansiglio, its home-place's mountains that are often told about in its songs. The band looks for an own style, that assembles early medieval melodies and traditional folk sounds from all over Europe, with death and black metal riffs, along with acoustic assembles in an ancient-fashioned atmosphere. 
The band in realized the self-produced demo “Tzimbar Bint” in 2013, than it started playing on many stages at local events all over Italy and Europe sharing the stage with a lot of other underground and international metal bands. In 2014 the band join the roster of Nemeton Records.
In May 2015 Kanseil will release their first full-length “Doin Earde”!"

Hagalaz, a side project by Torc and Solstafir from Korrigans (folk black metal), wants to experiment a new way of composing what which can be categorize as atmospheric folk black metal. Hagalaz wants to create an equilibrium between acoustic and blackened shares, a tribute to the harmony and might of Nature.

Hagalaz è un side project nato dalla collaborazione tra Torc e Solstafir, già membri dei Korrigans (folk black metal), con l'intento di sperimentare qualcosa che legasse il furore del black metal ad evocative parti acustiche, un tributo alla forza e all'armonia della Natura.

Founded upon owner Brian Slagel's enduring drive to find great bands and get their music out to as many people as possible, since 1982 Metal Blade has brought wave after wave of powerful, innovative, and often genre-defining music to the ever-hungry metal masses. It is this ethos that has seen Metal Blade build up a stunning and diverse catalogue, weather the various storms facing any independent label, and in an age of declining record sales boast the most successful years of its existence as it strides into its fourth decade.

What perhaps makes this achievement all the more notable is the fact that Slagel never even intended to start a label. Working in an LA record store and writing for various publications, Slagel was acutely aware that many great bands in the local metal scene were being ignored, and he decided to release a compilation of tracks drawn from these ranks. "There were a lot of really good bands and I was just bummed out that nobody could hear them. It just seemed like I could help them out and have some fun at the same time, and that compilation was the first Metal Massacre," he states. Collating tracks from then unknown bands including Ratt, Bitch, Cirith Ungol, and Metallica amongst others, the compilation sold out immediately. "How important is Metal Blade to our career? They're only the reason we are enjoying the worldwide success we have today," states Metallica's James Hetfield. "Without Brian's openness to some raunchy teens with a crap sounding cassette tape we would be who knows where, and playing who knows what!" With the popularity of the tape spurring Slagel on, the first seeds of Metal Blade were sown. "After the success of those compilations I just started putting out records of bands that I was friends with, but without ever really intending it to be a label at all," he explains. "After I put out four or five releases I started to feel like something was happening, and I decided to quit the record store and quit college and see where it went."

Battling through the first few lean years, when the label consisted solely of Slagel working out of his mom's poorly ventilated garage in the San Fernando Valley, it gradually grew in both revenue and stature. Within a few years Metal Blade would go on to release the debuts of Slayer, Armored Saint, Trouble, and Corrosion Of Conformity amongst others, fanning the flames of the burgeoning metal scene and launching careers of bands that would go onto reap global success. "Without Metal Blade, there is a damn good chance we never would've made it out of L.A," says Slayer's Kerry King. "That was the one bit of luck we needed. You can be the most awesome band on the scene, and if no one notices you, you don't catch on. And Brian Slagel is still one of the biggest metalheads I know!" This genuine love and devotion to metal is central to the relationship many of the artists have with Metal Blade, and King Diamond credits much of its relevance and strength to this passion. "I refer to it as having 'boots on the ground'," the mighty Dane states. "It's not like a major label where some people might be into what you're doing but a lot of them just see it as a job – there's a genuine love for metal there. Through staying true to that and doing their own thing they've carved out a very specific niche that they control, and as an artist it's wonderful to be a part of that."over the years. Celtic Rock spiced up with Irish Traditional Music! Based in the north of Italy (weird, innit?) and made up of lads who, in one way or another, lived or spent too much time in Ireland!

Too rock for the Folkies and too folk for the Rockies, the Bastards could please or disappoint almost everyone. Formed back in 2007, they play a unique blend of folk/rock and Traditional Irish Music. Uilleann pipes, tenor banjo, mandolin, Irish flute: there are few others bands in the folk/rock scene that could compete with the Bastards in terms of deep knowledge of Irish Traditional Music and Irish culture and society.

BIO ( ENG ) - Vinterblot took shape in Apulia (Italy) in winter 2008. Their music is to be rated as a merger between the European death metal tradition and the typical dark mood featuring black metal and ambient music, whose atmospheres are the solid ground on which themes like the constant relation between the man, his darkest sides and the myth are based.

After a first self-produced EP, "For Asgard" (2010), Vinterblot released their debut Full-Length Album "Nether Collapse" (2012) for Rising Records UK. In 2014 Vinterblot released a new Single/Music Video named "Triumph Recalls My Name" and signed to the Irish Label Nemeton Records.


Their second Full-Length Album "Realms of the Untold", mixed and mastered by the legendary swedish Producer and Artist Dan Swanö (Opeth, Dissection, Edge of Sanity, etc.) has been released in 2016 through Nemeton Records. "Realms of the Untold" has been acclaimed by international press and was rated "Top Album" by Metal Hammer Italy.

During April 2017 the Band won the Inferno Metal Festival international contest, performing live for the first time in Norway.

Tra il fango delle paludi pontine nascono i Korrigans, da un'idea di Solstafir (batteria) e Torc (chitarre, bouzouki, whistles), le cui prime composizioni già si basano su sonorità folkloristiche e antiche, un vero e proprio marchio di fabbrica da lì in poi. La line up cambia spesso fino all'arrivo di Ensis (chitarra, 2011 - 2014), con il quale la formazione diviene più salda, ma la vera anima dei Korrigans si materializza grazie anche all'arrivo delle sonorità folk di Spiorad (fisarmonica e tastiere) e dell'approccio black di Thanatos (voce), già noto nella scena underground per aver militato negli Hybris. Successivamente, con l'arrivo di Dalk (basso), si completa la line up che andrà a registrare il primo demo "Korrigans". L'idea è quella di proporre melodie derivanti dalla musica celtica e folk europea, arricchite da furiose componenti black metal destinate a ricordare la memoria dei nostri antenati tra storia, miti, battaglie e vino!
Nell'autunno del 2014 esce il primo full lenght "Ferocior Ad Rebellandum", un concept album che, tra le testimonianze storiche di Tito Livio e gli antichi miti pagani, ricalca le orme delle guerre tra Volsci e Romani e della ribellione contro l'oppressione da parte dell'Urbe.
Nell'inverno 2014 la line-up torna ad essere completa con l'arrivo di Dubnòs (chitarra).

Among the mud of the Pontine Marshes the Korrigans were born by an idea of Solstafir (drums) and Torc (guitars, bouzouki, whistles), whose first compositions were already influenced by folk contamination, which then become a true trademark. The lineup often changes until the arrival of Ensis (guitar, 2011 - 2014). However, the true spirit of Korrigans is materialized also with the folk sound of Spiorad (accordion and keyboards) and the black metal approach of Thanatos (vocals), already known in the underground scene for having militated in Hybris. Then, with Dalk at the bass, the line up is completed to record their first demo "Korrigans". The idea is to propose melodies derived from european folk and celtic music, enriched by a black metal approach designed to remember the history of our ancestors up to recount the ancestral pagan traditions.
In the autumn of 2014 they released their first full length album "Ferocior Ad Rebellandum", a concept album that, among the historical testimonies of Tito Livio and the ancient pagan myths, follows in the footsteps of the wars between Romans and Volscians and the rebellion against the oppression by Rome.
In winter 2014 Korrigans' line-up is complete again with Dubnòs (guitar).

“The Clan” is a band from Milan – Italy, formed in late 2013. Their sound is a mashup of Punk Rock and traditional Celtic & Irish music. The mix of electric guitars, bagpipes, violin, banjo and flutes makes them very recognizable. Their bigger inspiration comes from bands like Dropkick Murphys and Flogging Molly.
They have released 3 album and 1 EP . From 2014 to 2018 they played hundreds concerts, traveling between Italy and Europe, treading important stages, becoming headliner in many festivals and supporting important artists of punk and folk scene.
In 2002 they participated as competitors in the famous Talent Show X Factor Italy, making the audience, the judges and the prester jump and dance.

We can consider The Clan a sort of  ”Party band”: many times they were the first choice for “Irish parties” and ” Celtic festivals”. They always involve the audience with dancing, animations and catchy chorus, but they also have a powerful punk sound that could easily set off a pogo.
The Clan have many collaborations with big artists like: Modena City Ramblers, Punkreas, Shandon, Vallanzaska, Folkstone, The Rumjacks, The Real McKenzie, The Mahones, Andrea Toselli (Aka Andrea Rock from Virgin Radio) and many others.
