I didn't have any left when I walked through Africa on my way back around to China, but I still brought them masked dancing and voodoo. that was my first conversation with them because couldn't speak their language. asking do you know magic and I made a doll got a little bit of hair by trading and poked it causing pain and one of them was smart enough to get it. these long undulating beasts of the sky are the True dragons. they bring the rain the thunder and lighting storms, the wind itself. and I mean comon just personalize the wind, add a face to these spirals of leaves dancing when the wind blows and you can easily imagine a dragon without the dose that let's you see more of reality. sometimes these dragons find the time to incarnate as humans. sometimes they stay in the sky and direct a few lives at once, sometimes the less powerful just enjoy being human for the fun of it and forget their usual ways. I myself, am sometimes called THE GREAT GREEN DRAGON OF THE EAST, or the rainbow feathery serpent in the sky, or quetzalcoatl, the great smiling joker god. I remember a life where I was this person named rain. they noticed my physical body literally controled the weather, the rain followed me. so they sent me on a three year loop. a walk to bring rain to this region in China. eventually some dipshits tried to kill me, this magical rain bringer, and so I walked a different route and cursed the whole town to drought for 30 years. I remember being this little barefoot person from the underground named toft, in the story they animated on tv. I remember being so many spining dancing poet warlords all over the world its silly, from achillies to rumi twirling to the smiths banging out their craft. I remember being a few guys just named quetzalcoatl dancing around with a bird mask and a knife so everyone died who tried to fuck with me. everyone loved it. IM BETTER. as if the whirlwind in human form, my body affects the sky as if I am litterly a weather pattern. no wonder I landed in Florida on my way back from peru a day before the hurricane. I remember being all 9 sun-wu-kongs righting the world gone wrong and yes the monkey King himself,  yet only sort of. he's still alive just chilling, eating fruit in his cave. I remember inventing samurai armor many times cause I wanted something to eat after the fight. first in China but then in Japan as a teenager bring rice to my grandmother who lived all alone up the hill. I kept getting mugged so I put on a scary mask and designed padded armor with hidden pockets so I could carry as much rice as possible and still be ale to swing a sword. I was so scary I never had to fight ever again and there were so many fans in Japan it became a thing. I remember being mugen. the Chinese prince who was a twin which is a bad omen. never let male twins grow up together. so they sent me to Japan as a kid alone so I would get beat up left for dead and then encouraged to get strong for this dragon sword when I was big enough to carry it. then met Gene, the only man I couldn't kill. and together we killed the mob of controlling dipshits and these cracktarded sex slaving Christians with false happyface. my hair was alot bigger than the show. I remember being ni-chi-run, the pillar of Japan walking the narrow white line between burning red fire and the raging blue sea. I am Amitabh buddha tricking warriors into reincarnation in my pure world to be my soilder instead.

We are back to the scene with a new release from Da Iguana, traveler and producer based in the French West. This 20th release, with its 7 original mixes, is the proud Hard Fist first mini LP, snaking around in the mind, like a serpent in the forest.

After a first LP in 2018 on Berlin-based label Ubran Cosmonaut Radio, Da Iguana gained exposure and was allowed to play in Europe and Mexico, and to showcase his countless releases of multicultural psychedelic music, global bass and electro-organic music. Now one of the most prolific producers in the global bass and downtempo scene - more than 100 tracks for the past 4 years - he has been working with many well-known imprints such as Playground records, Serenades, Randome Collective…only to name a few. Cumbia digital, organic downtempo, psychedelic & indie house, ambient grooves, he plays around with groovy bass gimmicks, tribal rhythms, traditional music sampling and real instruments such as guitar, bass guitar, oud or even kalimbas. He also launched his own label, Reptilian Business Records, which is all about psychedelism and multiculturalism: a sneaky reptile mixing roots, genres, styles with open-mindedness & passion at all tempos. 

Present of the Future Pasts is a musical stroll, bringing the mind from one place to another. Da Iguana refers to reptilians for a reason: he produces cold blood music, explosive and unpredictable, with synths that have a reptilian scales texture and chameleon colors. In this mini LP you’ll find slow, almost still parts, and suddenly running or undulating, attacking or hiding. 
The music here is all about contrast. Duality is everywhere in nature: beautiful but dangerous, day and night, cold and hot, light and dark, life and death. Da Iguana is amazed how things are connected, how something positive can underline something negative, how opposites attract each other. This is how he built this 7 track LP: sometimes slow and deep, sometimes fast and high, bringing you to many places at once.
Last but not least, Da Iguana’s work is mixing cultures. Because he is traveling a lot, he cooks fusion, mixes fusion, and lives fusion. Mixing cultures is one of the rare aspects of globalization that he finds beautiful and he shows it brilliantly with this release, strongly inspired by the coolest thing about world music.

In this field between facts and what we make of them, between cold logic and caring understanding, we are called to calm down, reflect and listen to our inner voice.

This EP is an invitation to do just that, be it at a festival, in nature or the comfort of our home. Warm and playful, powerful and intricate, arousing and soothing, it is a bridge between a open eyed summer dream and a vibrating dance floor; a slow melodic journey, whose fullness embraces us, while its tingling details call us on. After releasing our first compilation ‘Curated Feelings’ in December last year, we are coming back to you with a new Single series ‘Singles Exploration’.

This series will always be following a simple and clear 2-tracks format: An original piece coming with its reinterpretation.
Encouraging new artists collaboration and enhancing the discovery of new sound boundaries of a flourishing music scene.

Seashell’s Cavity is the first single of this series, created by the rising talent Laurent Flaoh. This piece of music by the Paris-based producer is the best introduction we could have imagined for our newly created ‘Narrated Resonations’.
Psychedelic synths and weird sounds floating in the air, supported by a forward and driving beat that will fill dancefloors with high energy and a feeling of drifting to the deepest bottom of the cavity.

lucid created a decelerated and delicate reinterpretation of this piece. Filled with mesmerizing sounds and atmosphere, he is using the original synths and vocal samples with perfection and delivers us again a track that will drive you along your extended after hours.

kosha (Sanskrit कोश, IAST: kośa), usually rendered "sheath", the covering of the Atman, or Self. 

kośa is a soundsmith who brings you a flavour mixing - downtempo, acid house, minimal//deep-tech ranging from 80 to 120 bpm, electronic yet organic tunes, deep hypnotic meditative grooves and solid kicks infused with Indian, Arabic and other Ethnic influences which we beautifully term 'spiritual deeptech' a genre coined by kośa, rooted in the deepest part of India's underground scene.

ॐ//om -The great primordial sound, the original sound from which the universe was created, the sound of all sounds together. According to Hindu metaphysics everything is made of sounds (vibrations), since everything is sound, healing through it, is an ancient ritual, as sound is not only heard through our ears but vibrates within every cell of our bodies.

For us at kosa records this network gives space to connect ideas of various forms to do art for art's sake - not for social recognition. to break the rules of systematic exploitation of the artist's energy and to feel the soul in synchonicity.
there are no limits, as there is no mind. 

We consumed too much music and it started to leak and this is when kośa evolved into a record label in January 2019 with the release of their first various artists compilation Mīmāṃsā, though the real beginnings were with our Podcast series the raga saga https://soundcloud.com/kosamusica/sets/the-raga-saga where in we showcase an hour of beautiful music from our favorite artists from around the world.

50% of all proceeds are donated to Pawbro India Foundation that aims at feeding stray dogs and other animals in Pune, India, feeding over 150 strays everyday. Part of the artists’ stream shares are directed towards these efforts.
