In her eclectic sets, @lamacha blends Berlin underground sound with tropical rhythms and cadences and a good dose of powerful vocal samples to create intuitive and meaningful interactions with her audience. She can travel anywhere from deep selvatic downtempo to tropicalized organic techno and likes to take a little of the four out of the floor at times, not fearing the gap. In her home on the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica she is also known for her performances with local live musicians who bring a vivid and warm element to her peculiar mixes.

La Macha (“the blonde girl” in Tico Spanish) is a German music artist and activist, who is based out of the Caribbean since 2008. Over her last decade behind the decks she has explored and played with a wide selection of musical genres between Europe and Latin America to create her own little universe between the two worlds she knows as home.

Giz is a passionate music selector based in Berlin. She's currently making her joyful babysteps in a musical journey which - overloaded with so much heartwarming inspiration -  began a few months ago.

She grew up listening to vinyls from all around the world with her music aficionado father, which no doubt plays a role in her choices in life and music. She speaks 6 languages and is very much moved by all languages (from Indonesian to Mandinka) and instruments of any kind. 

She likes conveying ideas and experiences through her occasional writings but also believes in the immense power of silence and music- both as tools helping us (re)connect with each other and with the moment, in the moment, moment by moment. In the here and now, in unity. Slowing down- without rushing, racing, competing. Remembering we are here and alive, breathing in and out with vivid appreciation and gratitude for what is (just as it is) and for all the wonderful music that flies through our ears. Seitdem ich denken kann bin ich auf Wanderschaft, bereise auf meinem Kurs sowohl das Dorf, als auch die Stadt. Mein Weg führt mich meist über den staubigen Asphalt der Straße, hab keinen Kompass, folge nur den Sternen und meiner Nase.
Ich besitze nur das was ich zum Leben brauch, meine Gitarre, einen Hut, der Daumen schnippt mein Zippo auf. Mit einem lauten Lachen, Rückenwind und Whisky im Bauch, inhaliere ich den Zigarettenrauch.
Manch einer denkt jetzt vielleicht, ich fühl mich wohl in Einsamkeit.
Doch denen kann ich nur sagen,
die Gesellschaft des Menschen hätt' ich bitter zu beklagen. Ich bin unterwegs auf und mit Mutter Natur, 
ab dem Moment als ich ihre Schönheit sah und sie erfuhr. 
So dank ich Gott dafür Tag um Tag,
dass er mir die Freiheit gab, 
zu Leben wie ich es will und mag.

Heute gehen wir ein Stück mit Gussguss und hören die Welt aus seiner Perspektive. Dankeschön ❤

The highest goal of music is to connect soul to its divine nature, not just entertainment :)

kosha (Sanskrit कोश, IAST: kośa), usually rendered "sheath", the covering of the Atman, or Self. 

kośa is a soundsmith who brings you a flavour mixing - downtempo, acid house, minimal//deep-tech ranging from 80 to 120 bpm, electronic yet organic tunes, deep hypnotic meditative grooves and solid kicks infused with Indian, Arabic and other Ethnic influences which we beautifully term 'spiritual deeptech' a genre coined by kośa, rooted in the deepest part of India's underground scene.

ॐ//om -The great primordial sound, the original sound from which the universe was created, the sound of all sounds together. According to Hindu metaphysics everything is made of sounds (vibrations), since everything is sound, healing through it, is an ancient ritual, as sound is not only heard through our ears but vibrates within every cell of our bodies.

For us at kosa records this network gives space to connect ideas of various forms to do art for art's sake - not for social recognition. to break the rules of systematic exploitation of the artist's energy and to feel the soul in synchonicity.
there are no limits, as there is no mind. 

We consumed too much music and it started to leak and this is when kośa evolved into a record label in January 2019 with the release of their first various artists compilation Mīmāṃsā, though the real beginnings were with our Podcast series the raga saga https://soundcloud.com/kosamusica/sets/the-raga-saga where in we showcase an hour of beautiful music from our favorite artists from around the world.

50% of all proceeds are donated to Pawbro India Foundation that aims at feeding stray dogs and other animals in Pune, India, feeding over 150 strays everyday. Part of the artists’ stream shares are directed towards these efforts.
