Drums for Schools are specialists in Class Ensemble Teaching using accessible world music traditions.
Our goal is to enable schools to bring the life skills, social and academic benefits of a high quality music education to EVERY pupil and we do this by focussing on:

Music traditions that are inclusive and accessible, engaging all ability levels, cultural backgrounds and age groups
Transferring the essential expertise to your teachers and on supporting them every step of the way
Providing the materials and advice you need to help you embed your chosen music tradition in the classroom, in after-school and lunch time clubs and through cross-curricular, community and voluntary activities
We want to help create schools in which music-making is a natural part of daily life for ALL pupils; a school which is musically self-sufficient and one which plays an important cultural role in the community.

The great Romani masters are renowned worldwide for their virtuosity and depth of emotion, bringing audiences to their feet with their social and celebratory music. Makanitza play this vibrant music with this same passion and dedication, playing music from the vast wealth of Romani and Eastern European songs and dances to create unique and personal interpretations.

Noga Ritter is an eclectic singer-songwriter, band leader and workshop facilitator whose music fuses Hebrew Jazz with global grooves. Her songs, sung in both Hebrew and English, weave intimate and personal stories into a potent narrative of social-global issues. Her performances, whether in stripped-down formats or her full 9-piece band, are as passionate as they are energetic; getting any audience to dance and join in on her soulful journey.

Since launching her solo project at the end of 2018 she performed across the UK, toured and recorded in Senegal and performed on BBC1 TV promoting the upcoming album that she recorded last summer, supported by the Arts Council England and Help Musicians UK. Her debut solo album ‘Ima’ features award-winning musicians such as Seckou Keita (kora), Byrown Wallen (trumpet), Tony Kofi (saxophone) and is produced by Liran Donin. Coming out in May 2023!


After studying at the Guildhall School of Music and LCCM, Noga has performed and collaborated with musicians from around the world, singing in various languages and genres. She released an album and toured with her former project VOCAL GLOBAL, and has also worked with Mike King Collective, The Grand Union Orchestra, Abdoulaye Samb and Minnjiaraby (Senegal), Jyotsna Srikanth (India), Sahad & The Natal Patchwork (Senegal), Sura Susso (Gambia) and Randolph Matthews. 
Noga works regularly for Live Music Now, Barbican Creative Learning and CREATE performing and leading workshops at special needs schools, hospitals and care homes. Noga is a facilitator at Music Action International leading songwriting workshops for children and refugees. She also works with ON:SONG leading singing and choir workshops in the workplace.
