The story continues for the republic after a forced hiatus! The troupe of vagabonds have gathered once more, scheming and plotting an escape from this dimension into planets and galaxies far far away. Places uninhabited by politicians, a decentralised free world where there is enough for all and everyone is connected, that is the Republic.

First up, an astral travelling outfit of mysterious origins and sizeable orbits, 'The Planetts' drop an ode to space travel, with the silky vocals Ciaran Gribbin on 'To The Moon'. Beginning with melodic pads and smooth vocal harmonies, look for an unexpected turn that may appeal to your techno soul. Ciaran has a rich history of songwriting having been nominated for a Grammy in 2010 whilst penning music for Madonna and Paul Oakenfold, in addition fronting legendary Australian rock band INXS since 2012.

Track 2 sees Los Angeles based Ant J Steep drop a classic house tune with a vocal sample from an interview with a singer of mass appeal, can you pick who it is? You will find yourself on a journey immersed in the masterfully pitched, rhythmically programmed vocal stabs, cruising in a sonic submarine radiating technicolour, whilst navigating a story of frequency and sympathetic vibration. Jump on for the ride!

The last piece of the story is completed by a newcomer in his debut release, originally from ol Blightly but now ensconced in a green valley just north of Sydney, we see 'butters' release his first tune, warm on rhythms, blended with some big uplifting strings to deliver a dancefloor experience that will have you dreaming and shaking your booty at the same time.

Recline Music founder Nicco ND returns on the label this April, delivering his grooving
single 'Lost Universe', accompanied by a remix from Javonntte.
Florence native Nicco (N.D) is a long-standing player within the house music scene. Producing since the late 90s, he has previously performed as a singer and guitarist before joining forces alongside Ivano Coppola to launch their Recline Music imprint. He has worked with DJ T., Oxia, Clarian and many others, whilst releasing over one-hundred tracks and gaining support from Marco Carola, Joris Voorn and Steve Bug.
The remixer of this package is Detroit-based Javonntte. Since the early nineties, he has been producing music and has collaborated with legendary producers including Blake Baxter, Amp Fiddler and Andres in his formative years, whilst his solo releases have landed on Quintessentials, Traxx Underground and Kai Alce's NDATL.
'Lost Universe' is a glistening deep house track that effortlessly combines luscious chords with rising
pads and blissful keys to transport listeners on a hypnotic journey. Javonntte's interpretation reveals a
feel-good affair, as fathomless bassline sequences fuse with kinetic drum programming and dubby

A duo with a strong connection to the Proton Music archives, LADS return to the label with another stunning EP. This time with the added talents of Stephan Pokorny, "A Million Faces" sees two original tracks combine with remixes from Mass Digital and Cream. Three original EPs dating back to the September 2017 "Miss Jean" debut, May 2018's "Hagel" and "Stoyote" in June 2020, confirmed the German / South African duo as one of underground dance's most exciting talents. Now returning, "A Million Faces" is a delicate melodic gem that sees a haunting male vocal line play a central role as it delicately sings a romantic verse at the mid-point. Either side, a rolling percussive groove builds supremely with subtle energy as a barely heard loop hints at the vocal to come. Organic instrumentation creates another motif that adds to the sonic collage as a swathe of new sounds, pitched effects and vocal reprise create a memorable and sparkling track. The partner track is once again characterised by a distinctive rolling groove comprised of organic percussion sounds. A stuttered, vocal cut propels "Liberia" to the front of the sonic stage as fizzing pads and a beautifully cadenced chord syncopates in smooth hypnotic fashion. Full of musical variation, "Liberia" waxes and wanes easily as the hypnotic backdrop and swathe of new motifs and effected elements create an innovative an original piece. With a motto that expounds "music speaks louder than words", Mass Digital is a name that has risen to prominence over a 15-year period and some 700 production credits to his name. From Pacha and Tiger Recordings to Hoomidaas and All Day I Dream, the Serbian artist has carved out a sizeable reputation with his distinctive and finely honed production work. Now making his Proton Music debut, the Mass Digital remix of "A Million Faces" is a tour deforce. Retaining the original's percussive groove and melodic character, an array of new production material is introduced that immaculately complements the work of LADS and Stephan Pokorny, not least through beautiful new piano chords and a strings-fuelled backdrop. Building in energy through its phases, the vocal so central to the original, cuts a recurring theme as piano and strings develop in magnificent fashion. The final remix sees the return of DJ and producer, Cream.
