Krake Festival introduces: MEJLE

Up first as part of our month of @mechatronicamusic sets from Krake Festival 2020: Online is @mejle, co-owner & promoter of the Berlin-based record label, club night and collective Mechatronica.
Mejle's rugged and dynamic approach to DJing blends with a decade long passion for collecting music and playing records, producing energetic sets that transcend the boundaries of Electro, Acid, EBM, Techno, Breaks, Chicago House, Detroit sounds, Italo Disco, New Beat and everything in between.

I’ve been thinking on how to approach my residency at @refugeworldwide , to distinguish the radio shows from the sets I play on the weekends. To share more music with all of you I will be dedicating some upcoming refuge shows to specific genres or decades from my record collection. I will still have to figure out how I will go about it. 

For the last show at Refuge, which was the day after @deschoolamsterdam : I focused on 90's House tracks from my collection, many of which I played during my De School set, capturing the weekend‘s vibe.

KRAKE is an annual Berlin based fes­ti­val for chal­leng­ing elec­tronic music. Krake means octo­pus and the fes­ti­val is organ­ised in a com­pa­ra­ble way: reach­ing out to selected loca­tions dur­ing one week pre­sent­ing the best in elec­tronic music, what­ever style it is.

The fes­ti­val is not huge, not expen­sive, does not have big spon­sor­ing deals or four dif­fer­ent colour area passes. It’s just a good and so far suc­cess­ful try to bring back the focus on artists who dare to step off the beaten tracks.
