The second Part started right after the Drag Show and took off with high energy tunes, followed by a sexy and wild ride for the next two hours. In the end we played more trippy & spacial sounds to hopefully change our dancers mindset. We thank everyone who joined us for this truly blissfull night! hola mi nombre es joanan, mejor conocido como "tony tormenta" de la ciudad 
de México. Desde una edad muy temprana mi gusto por la musica ha sido di-
ferente, influenciado por mi familia, primos y tios, me enseñaron 
bandas que nunca habia escuchado en mi niñes como el dance, house y
synthpop.

inspirado en "EBG", " art of noise" , "propaganda" , "east of wall" en una edad madura 
los fui descubriendo , las mejores bandas sin duda.

Fue hasta 2003 en el love parade que se llevo acabo en México, escuchar todos esos sonidos,
y mirar como el deejay era el centro del moviento, yo queria ser como ellos, poner caliente la
pista de baile . Esa experiencia me llevo a conocer a muchas personas y quien hoy considero 
mis mejores amigos, los cuales me dieron la oprtunidad de mostrar mi trabajo como DJ. subway club, 
seek my beat y donde ahora es mi hogar "terrror clash".

Tony tormenta nace como un proyecto, como sintesis del disco, house ,ebm, electro,breaks, techno trash, darkwave 
ese mismo estilo me ha llevado a imoportantes salas de la ciudad;kinky, rico club, uta,la mezcali, real under, allende club, madero
club, pasaguero,black por mendcionar algunos además de compartir cabina con las leyendas de la escena mexicana.

hello my name is joanan, better known as "tony tormenta " from mexico city.
very early age my taste for music has been different 
influenced by my family, cousins ​​and uncles, taught me
bands that I had never heard in my childhood like dance, house and
synthpop.

inspired by "EBG", "art of noise", "propaganda", "east of wall" in a mature age
I was discovering them, the best bands without a doubt.

Bleep Radio e600 (Whole Stream) - Trevor Wilkes

After a long summer break, we (re)open the season, with a thundering Guest mix by Yash.  Expect pounding Techno for the floor with  hypnotizing rhythms , psychedelic pads and exotic samples. Yash knows how to maintain the heat by skillful mixing and building up in dynamic. This is where I want to dance. Are you with me ? Turn up that volume.

The house music virus caught Yash somewhere in 1992 after hearing Twin Freaks from Gateway Experience. This has laid the foundation for introducing himself in harder genres at first. Gabber, early rave and hardtrance, which were very hot during the 90’s in the Netherlands. Gradually other styles filtered into his taste after visiting house parties in the early 00’s, such as techno and freakier kinds of house music. The endless rhythms of techno was what really changed his vision of what he liked and decided to buy turntables and a mixer to play tracks that he didn’t heard much on parties and in mixes of other DJ’s. 

After discovering electroclash and productions by The Hague based producer Alden Tyrell he decided playing only techno was a bit too shallow for his taste. After discovering CBS (Cybernetic Broadcasting System, the precursor of Intergalactic FM) he heard tracks Shake by Bombers, Sweet Dynamite by Claudia Barry and Patrick Cowley’s Megatron Man he immediately fell in love with the groovy rhythms, orchestral parts and luscious voices of disco. This left the same imprint on people that techno and house did, but years before! 

After discovering this trove of known and unknown gems he really caught the Westcoast sound virus, electro hip-hop, acid house, wave, funk, experimental electronics, nothing could quench his thirst for new music. The fresh approach of continuously introducing new and old music and blending genres into his sets makes him a versatile DJ for who genres don’t matter. Everything is a sort of reproduction of what came before in music but in a form that stayed true to the originators. They did what they felt or thought was good, Yash follows that spirit. Staying true to whatever he likes and keeping his skills on point by doing transitions that other might not do.

Yay! Summerbreak on Callshop Radio is finally over and we hope y’all had some mad fun august 23’! As you may have noticed we took an extra long break with IR as our juli show sadly had to be canceled spontaneously. 

So now we are more than hyped that we can kick off by inviting Machine Ethics. Mainly influenced by modern electro artists such as w1b0 or Umwelt, his root influences go much more into both depth and width. EBM, Industrial and Electro Industrial came way before being hooked with modern Electro or IDM. Andrew Weatherall and projects like “Two Lone Swordsmen” as well as "Transparent Sound“ an „Plaid“ are huge electronic influences for him. As our residency hopefully shows - It’s not only about electronic music - and that’s the same for our guest. Stoner Rock, Folk and Post Punk as well as Goth Rock are his weapons of choice when he needs to reboot his system.
„I bought my first synthesizer and drum computer in 1999, a Yamaha SY 77 and a Boss DR202,
starting to experiment with them using Cubase and to record (mostly industrial) stuff that I'll keep anonymous. However, in 2008, I got on a very anti-materialistic trip while moving from Berlin to Leipzig, sold all my gear and just kept my acoustic guitar“.
In 2020 he decided to start his new Electro Project: Machine Ethics, embracing today's possibilities of producing and distributing. We‘re looking forward to it, we know you‘re too.

Not the type that I usually mix in my deep-space electro mixes or higher energy techno and electro mixes, but a good opportunity to bring something slightly different to the (turn)table!

Humboldthain Club 10 Years

KRAKE is an annual Berlin based fes­ti­val for chal­leng­ing elec­tronic music. Krake means octo­pus and the fes­ti­val is organ­ised in a com­pa­ra­ble way: reach­ing out to selected loca­tions dur­ing one week pre­sent­ing the best in elec­tronic music, what­ever style it is.

The fes­ti­val is not huge, not expen­sive, does not have big spon­sor­ing deals or four dif­fer­ent colour area passes. It’s just a good and so far suc­cess­ful try to bring back the focus on artists who dare to step off the beaten tracks.

A fes­ti­val for music lovers.
