@Celestino, curator of the music platform @SexyDinosaurFromOuterSpace, debuts on the acclaimed and vital British label @NeinRecords - by @TronikYouth -, featuring a solid 4-track EP divided into one original and three alluring remixes made with love by Turkish rising star @GunceAci Argentinean talent to watch @Marzian and Spanish prolific artist @K-Effect, who also did the mastering.

Combining their respective backgrounds and influences, the quartet delivered an "undefective" release, whose darkness does not overcome the groove and the sole purpose of bringing you to their obscure but lively world.

Cantor’s new track ‘Harmless’ is a sulky and provocative blend of new wave and post punk, with brooding vocals and echoing synth loops creating a mesmerizing sound that is symbolic of the artists’ inner consciousness. The vocalist Borel (@giovannidinello) is a contemporary musician and composer from the Venice Music Conservatory. This track is from Cantor’s new 4-track EP ‘Convergence’, which as a whole is equally as moody and entrancing, exploring concepts that lie at the core of Cantor’s music: distortions, psychedelia, romanticism, and sonic cheerfulness. 

After releasing music on different labels in the past such as Correspondant, Trafico Music, Motordiscs and Nothing is Real, Cantor is releasing this new EP on his own label Underground Pacific. The EP also includes an acid remix by the famed Alexander Robotnick , and the vinyl edition features art from the talented Italian artist Fabio Baggio aka ‘artbajo’.

Canada’s ALI X (formally Azari & iii) and Mexico’s XIMENA are releasing their self-titled, debut album project. Set for release this July via their own label ‘CONTROLLA’, tracks from the album are receiving remixes from a selection of well-respected artists, as is the case here with Timothy Clerkin's remix of "No Me Gustas."

After many failed attempts at writing the press release for such an ambiguous project, it's the artists themselves that introduce the album… 

“ALI X (ex Azari & III) and XIMENA (Controlla.Mx) are a powerhouse duo whose risky Spanglish techno-rap out of Mexico City cuts raw, rugged barrio street juice with laser sharp cultural rhetoric, radiated by a dominant visual element unique to their assay. Their Spring 2020, self-titled debut album is a bricolage of radical freak poetics and hyper-focused observations, entangled in a dusky jungle of dank, chunky production and abstracted aural art pieces. With deep-referencing and inspiration from Luis Miguel to Plastikman, Jean-Paul Sartre to John Paul Jones, these two rap-junkie technoid punks poke fun at the contemporary cultural milieu with a deadpan seriousness you can never quite read for sure...

Inspired by the ongoing stress and paranoia of living in Mexico City, the producer Undefined Pattern delivers to Richmerch 3 fresh and new original choons for the most exigent dance floors.

Starting with a dark and mysterious cut with some low-pitched voices, "El Alienado" tease you up for what comes next.

"El Anejado" is one of those tunes that evolves gradually taking you to higher levels of excitement.

"CONVERGENXIA" it's just six minutes of violent stabbing beats.

We invited Fabrizio Mammarella to close the EP with his "Pepsi Center Mix" of "El Anejado" switching it into a floorfiller that sounds like a clash of Italo Disco and French Electro Synth-Wave.

All tracks have been previously tested on various raves, clubs and dance floors before being released.

Once again, the mighty graphics wizards Doppeldenk from Leipzig provided a delightfull artwork. And once again, you’ll get a record that sports a kaleidoscope of dance music from Uncanny Valley veterans and newcomers. This time with the emphasis on bright and positive timbres which can be associated with the colour yellow.

PREMIERE #1064 | Panthera Krause - The Naked Now [Uncanny Valley] 2020

Espacio Cielo opens its doors to French producer GUYD (FREEDL011). His new EP, spiced with proper Dark Disco and Indie Dance flavours, brings two compelling originals and three enticing remixes: Parissior (SXDNS206), Moo Moonster (SXDNS054) and Oval Future Face make up the Spanish team responsible for the revision of GUYD’s work.

Guillaume Guyd started his music endeavours at 14 when he began to play the guitar. In the 2000s, he discovered electronic music, following artists like Daft Punk, Laurent Garnier, and Cosmo Vitelli. He bought his first synths in 2008 and began his journey into production. After several projects and experimentations, he found his style in 2016, focusing on Dark Disco filled with percussive elements and rock influences. He released his first EP in 2018 on the Italian label CSK:BEAT, and the second one in 2019 on the French imprint ESTHETIQUE (also premiered on our platform).

“Crossing” does not break the rules of his trademark sonority, which must have facilitated the remixing task to Moo Moonster, another Dark Disco/Indie Dance expert. Throbbing basslines, arpeggiated synth layers and knocking sounds are combined with lighter and melodic elements, forming an obscure and groovy atmosphere devoted to driving you into a space trip.

One half of Multi Culti, Dreems, leaves his home port in order to swim through Shark Waters and berth on V's Le Temps Perdu label. The latest five tracker on the Lithuanian imprint is already the second outing of Dreems, after Charcoals in 2016, on the labels and takes the vibe from the now four year old release up but – of course – appears in a different light. For the EP's title track Dreems teams up with Kris Baha under their Die Orangen pseudonym and deliver what they call a “groove on a sort of Shoe-Gaze-Funk-e-Industralia rendition“ or the experience of riding a cosmic wave into the blue hour … into the ocean while being chased by people in boats with carbon paddles that cut furiously yet rhythmically through it. And just when you think you're safe a shark fin appears and the chase continues. Die Orangen re-treat of Shark Waters keeps you moving, pushes you forward, gives you rest and never lets you go – too precise or sharp are those claps as they drift over a lush bass line and float you out into the deep sea.

Producer Plastico has been experimenting and playing for a long time, with a unique sound. This album is made up of 12 tracks, which they are a ode to German Krautrock produced in 2020. The bar was lined with shot glass after shot glass, each one emptied quickly by the raucous crowd that had set up camp there since doors opened. It was barely past lunch but many were already half cut. Over excitement had got the better of them, or perhaps they'd simply forgotten how to handle their drink after so long spent in lock down. But a few wobbles and several empty wallets didn't matter, it was the weekend and they had no prior engagements to attend to, except for those that involved a full glass... 

After their sole release from 2004 was re-upped by none other than Solomun, French duo Kimshies decided to return to the studio last year after a 15 year hiatus. After two releases last year they make their debut on Mexico's Duro, the label run by Theus Mago AKA Bufi, with two original cuts that get the rework treatment from an all star cast. The distorted synths and acid lines of title track ‘Fucked Up Mama’ are twisted into new forms by Life & Death and Disco Halal label mate Autarkic, Belgium's Cabaret Nocturne and La Dame Noir alumni Arthur Johnson who offers up two takes; a driving upbeat re-imagination and a gritty analogue version.
