São figuras recorrentes na cena com um som que abrange muitos gêneros, mas o objetivo é sempre o mesmo: tirar as pessoas de seus assentos.

Hand-made are diggers and DJs from Edinburgh, with a love for the everything and anything. They have their own party series, Hand-made with Love at world renowned club, Sneaky Pete’s, where they welcome guests from across the globe to make their mark in the Scottish capital, creating a safe space for people to lose themselves. Appearing on posters here, there and everywhere, their sound spans many genres, but the goal is always the same: get people out their seats, and keep them there.

One of the things that we love the most from the beloved berliner underground is the huge quantity of unknown/underrated djs that scene provides. The ones we decided to move here we always get surprised about dj's that one can see at the most filthy and infamous venues, being not strcktly necessary to go to Panorama Bar to see a nice set.

We introduce you this month to EXOTIKA, good friend and great selector. Joan Bernat the guy behind the name, is one of those obsessed diggers that are always in the search of the perfect beat and the warmest vibe. Balearic, downtempo, protohouse and everything in between is the leitmotif of the catalonian dj.

Member of the amazing collective "Ceremony", one of the hottest underground parties in Berlin, along with Nirel Nica, Llupe and Rafa (who already signed an MM Cast last year)

Cet été, Radio Sofa installe sa Méridienne dans le nouveau booth du Top à @point-eph-m-re, le temps d’une résidence radiophonique estivale. Dans ce studio transitoire, orienté vers des univers phoniques non-dansants, nous recevrons sur six dates invité.e.s et résident.e.s pour des sessions exploratoires à écouter assis.

La Méridienne entend mêler, quelques après-midi durant, lumière zénithale et poésie sonore. Les sélections de nos convives, ouvertes au public, seront retransmises en direct sur nos ondes depuis les toits puis disponibles à la réécoute. Amateurs et amatrices d’ambiances lancinantes et de rythmes voluptueux, la Méridienne s’ouvre au grand jour le 3 juillet.

[EN] Radio Sofa sets its Méridienne on the roof of the Point Ephémère for a summer radio residency. In this transitory studio, oriented towards non-dancing phonic universes, we will receive guests and residents for exploratory sessions to be listened to sitting down.

La Méridienne intends to mix zenithal light and sonic poetry for a few afternoons. The selections of our guests will be open to public and broadcast live on our airwaves from the rooftop. Lovers of haunting atmospheres and voluptuous rhythms, La Méridienne opens on the 3d of July.

(some of you will understand the wordplay... hint: there is a steak called Chateaubriand) My memory is usually not that bad. But somehow the vision into the years from 1994 to 1998 is quite blurry. I think it has to do with the hits from the bong. Here are some bits that I remember well. Most of them are not really official hits, some of them actually give me shivers ... all below 90 bpm! Eric Duncan started DJ-ing in Manhattan’s Downtown bar and club circuit in the mid 90’s.

In 1996 he stepped out of the DJ booth to curate the music for the Girl Skateboards movie titled ‘Mouse’. A couple of years later, Eric along with Thomas Bullock formed the AfterHours party outfit ‘Rub-N-Tug’. 

After a few years of HARDCORE party providing to NYC’s left field underground. Eric began hitting the road with Rub-N-Tug, the rest is a blur.. ;)

In 2006 Eric & Liv Spencer started ‘Still Going’ releasing 2 singles on DFA Records including ‘Still Going Theme’ & ’Spaghetti Circus’ the later featuring Ultra talented Reggie Watts on vocals. Eric also has production collaborations with Dean Meredith of Chicken Lips fame and New York’s Justin Vandervolgen leader of ‘My Rules’
