Bio Cyril Caps:

Musicien depuis l'âge de 13 ans, Cyril Caps devient guitariste d'un groupe dès ses 17 ans. Puis, en 1989, il découvre la musique électronique et troque sa guitare contre des platines de dj.

Musician since the age of 13, Cyril Caps has his first break through as guitarist with a band when he reaches 17. Discovering electronic music in 1989 constitutes a change of direction, and he trades in his guitar for the Dj's turn tables.

Il rédigera un article sur le mouvement techno dans le sud de la France pour le premier numéro du magazine "Coda".

He also wrote an article on the techno movement in the south of France for "Coda"Magasine's first edition.

En 1999, il est dj résident du "Zébra square Monte-Carlo" où il distille une house classieuse et jazzy ainsi que du downtempo groovy.
Pendant cette période, il a l'occasion de jouer avec Claude Challes (inauguration du Zébra Square) puis Shazz (en 2001).
En parallèle, il mixe une techno minimale sans concession dans de nombreuses free party entre le sud de la France et l'Italie.

In 1999 he becomes the resident Dj at the  "Zebra Square" in Monte Carlo, where he diffuses classy, jazz orientated house music together with some groovy down tempo sounds.
During this time, Cyril grabs the opportunity to play alongside Claude Challes for the opening ceremony  of the "Zebra Square", and pursues the experience in 2001 sharing the stage with Shazz.
Concurrently, he mixes uncompromisingly minimal techno music at a number of parties stretching from the south of France to Italy.

En 2002, il quitte le "Zébra Square Monte-Carlo" et intègre "le Before" à Nice où il passe du lounge subtil et rythmé  à une house toujours aussi soulful et jazzy.
Dans le même temps, booké chez Karmaprod, il mixe dans plusieurs soirées sur la Côte d'Azur.

In 2002 he leaves the Monte Carlo Zebra Square and integrates « Le Before » in Nice, this time playing subtle and rhytmic lounge alongside his now recognisable soulful jazzy house music.
At the same time, he mixed at many Azurien evenings for Karmaprod booking agency.

En 2004, fort de cette expérience, il se lance alors dans la composition d'un album éclectique de musiques électroniques.
Son style varie entre des morceaux downtempo très aériens et une deephouse toujours teintée de sonorités jazz et soul. 
Il s'aventure aussi dans des morceaux plus électro.
Ce qui caractérise le plus ses compositions : groovy et dansantes, sans jamais agresser l’oreille.

Nourished by his experience, in 2004 he tries his hand at composing, and creates an eclectic album of electronic music. With each track his style varies from airy down tempo music to deephouse equally highlighted with his renowned jazz soul sounds.
He also ventures into creating more electro tracks.
What best portrays his compositions is : groovy dance music, soft and melodious to the ear.

Début 2015, il signe un 2 titres avec un label New-yorkais (Korner Gruve Records).

En 2016 , il sort 2 titres sur un label italo allemand : Kryptofabbrikk records

Début 2017 il signe un track techno sur le même label

OSR - Old Skool Ravers "Keeping The Vibe Alive!" = U Know The Score : In the mid to late 1980s a wave of psychedelic and other electronic dance music, most notably acid house and Techno, emerged and caught on in the clubs, warehouses, and free-parties first in Manchester in the mid 80's and then later London . In many ways what would become known as the Rave scene, was influenced by the Northern Soul scene which throughout the late 1960s and through the 1970s and 80's had involved large groups of mainly working class kids dancing all night to rare US soul records while popping amphetamines. When Margaret Thatcher's policies in the late 70's lead to the closure of the UK's textile industry in the northwest, suddenly large mills and warehouses became empty and illegal parties were held in them. The first warehouse parties in Manchester were organised by the group The Stone Roses back in 1985, when to get around the licensing laws they would play a gig and book a line up of DJs under the disused arches of Piccadilly train station. These parties were then advertised as an all night video shoot, and the kids who bought tickets for £5 would have an ip piece sellotaped to the back as their fee for being extras in a video shoot, thus for several months the forces of law and order were kept at bay. Dance music was always prominent with big electro, Jazz Funk and early house tunes being played in a somewhat balearic mix alongside New Order, The Clash and The Smiths.House music caught on very quickly in the north and midlands from 1986 onwards, even being played in mainstream night clubs. In 1988 London sudden;y adopted this scene, and rebranded it, so records which a week earlier had been House Records, were suddenly Acid House and smiley badges and other marketing paraphernalia became involved.These early raves were called Acid House Parties. They were mainstream events that attracted thousands of people (up to 25,000[citation needed] instead of the 4,000 that came to earlier warehouse parties). Acid House parties were first re-branded "rave parties" in the media, during the summer of 1989 by Neil Andrew Megson during a television interview, however, the ambience of the rave was not fully formed until 28 May 1991. In the UK, in 1988–89, raves were similar to football matches in that they provided a setting for working-class unification, in a time with a union movement in decline and few jobs, and many of the attendees of raves were die-hard football fans.
