Brootworth is a Vienna-based multi-genre producer and artist. His latest 4-track EP, forthcoming on his label ghosttown, is a series of cybernetic dancefloor experiments that alternate between dismantled jungle and grime-infused syncopation. His sets are known to be dark and deconstructed, a journey through broken textures of fluttering kicks, warped vocal chops and polyrhythmic breaks.
With his recent live-sets, he shifts into more abstract and harsh sounds, exploring modes of fragmentation, alienation and dissolution of the bodily expression through digital distortions.

influenced by idm and minimal techno that were often played at Ugly, heliyah shows the result of consistent work he made between 2021 and 2022 while living between home and nightclub.

every element here is carefully managed, sprouting weird extraneous noises as they go. multilayered scenes that function at different levels of attention, pedantic detailing, wide tempo range and plenty of microplots – heliyah's branded style.

Kicking off on a sensitive note and a fragile state of things everywhere around us so a live vinyl mix of mid to late 90s deep healing energy vibes from the drum & bass / jungle world was the only thing I wanted to mix & blend this last week.

Sprinkle that with some major digging from the Vaults for tunes that sounded/sound ever so fresh in/out of the clubs (TIP: predominantly b-sides & unknown gems) and hey presto, I could do another 2 hrs easily>>>>

Our next artist is an up and coming artist from Ljubljana, Slovenia. His production and live performances pay tribute to the old-school rave legacy, while also incorporating unpredictable bits of internet-age freshness and ex-yu influence, always creating explosive dancefloor ordeals to look out for.

His thought process captured it brilliantly; “Bit of an all-rounder as appropriate for the end of the year! Lots of my go-to tracks in this one, but also some newly discovered gems and oldschool classics thrown in on the fly. Enjoy!”
