Imperial Audio brings you a new addition to their roster, IMP004 showcases newcomer to the label Outbound with the "Aphotik" single and remix on the flip from ARtroniks. 
This release shows how vast the sound of dubstep is at the moment, a scene that is still thriving and bringing new energy even after being scrutinised this past year.

Jon (Outbound) a 23 year old DJ/Producer and Mastering Engineer from Nottingham brings to the table a back catalogue of sounds with previous releases behind him, his music can only be labelled as his own. A very individual mix of organic percussion, relentless sub elements and sharp sometimes dark synth sounds are what you expect to hear in his tracks.

Outbound creates a vast soundscape throughout his productions, some very unique styles emerge forward especially in this particular track. Hard hitting percussion, system necessary bass and top notch production, it's understandable why "Aphotik" and ARtroniks remix are receiving so much support. J:Kenzo, BunZero and Korrupt are some of the many artists supporting and playing this release in mixes and on radio - if that's not a heads up of what to expect then take a listen yourself...

IMP004 - Outbound - Aphotik/Aphotik (Artroniks Remix)

"Evil soundscapes slowly rise from the surface of 'Kombat', energized by organic-sounding elements that also add a sinister feeling to the this brutal production. The listener is introduced to haunting vocal samples that twist around the production - until the drop reveals itself and the aggressive growls start to attack. The crisp and raw percussion reflects Demon’s signature: heavy, minimalistic drum patterns – with multi-layered and panned snares really tightening the effect of Kombat.  

"The second drop has been composed intelligently; with the original drum patterns returning, supported by silences, which are filled by twisted samples that set the mind on edge. As the track progresses towards the end, the hypnotising vocals return. New percussive elements appear, adding extra weight. Demon’s prints are all over 'Kombat'; this is a production once again highlighting he’s a Freddy Krueger-esque nightmare machine, ripping the listener to pieces with his notorious Macabre Unit sound."

As the build up to the ever impending release of Jubei’s “To Have & Have Not” Album continues we tease even further with this ultra limited release of this 10” hand stamped, hand signed and hand numbered vinyl release including two of the (many) stunning highlight tracks taken from the L.P.

“The Moment” picks up exactly where Jubei and Flowdan’s gargantuan anthem “Say Nothin” left off. The result once again prove that In combination the pair are nothing short of explosive, the track should carry a health warning, devastation is 100 percent guaranteed here, no prisoners will be spared and every dance floor will be left in tiny pieces as once again Jubei and Flowdan deliver their collaborative brutal genius.

As if that wasn’t enough the flip backs up with “Tip the Scales” written alongside Marcus Intalex and featuring everyone’s favourite Manchester MC DRS. “Tip the Scales” reaches into the deepest, darkest depths, providing that late rolling shuffle to keep the headz nodding and the people moving, the perfect compliment to the A side and again another snapshot of the overall brilliance from the album itself.


Finishing off everything nicely and just for the physical product buying fans out there we are issuing the release via an extremely limited number of exclusive 10” white label presses - all of which are all individually numbered, signed and hand stamped by Jubei himself, pre-order's have already mounted for the limited release so we expect that these 10"s will be disappearing rather rapidly.  Grab a unique piece of Headz history fast as we’re sure these wont hang around for long.

Started as a duo but continuing as a one man bass army, this guy is one of Belgium’s best export products in the present day dubstep scene. He has earned his stripes with releases on MED SCHOOL (HOSPITAL’s sister label), COMPOUND ONE, ORIENTIS and REDSHIFT ONE amongst others. He is getting the deserved support from some of the bigger players in the international scene. We are very pleased and thrilled to have him aboard!

As we approach the end of the year we enter a time of reflection. So, just before we head off and blast into 2014 we give you Thanks And Praises.

We give thanks for everyone that spread the love and praise all DJ's supporting us.
We give thanks for all our releases and praise all labels and artists we got to work with.
We give thanks for every gig we played and praise everybody that came to see us. 
We give thanks for friends that joined us on the journey and the friends we made on it. 
We give thanks for an amazing year and praise whomever had a part in this.

One can only hope next year will be just as good as this one has been, but we'll certainly kick off nicely with the release of Scavenger and we got more things to share with you very soon. Peace and love out to everybody keeping it real around the globe and remember: it's sound, not hype.
