Ziggy Stardust: The Motion Picture is a live album by David Bowie, corresponding to the film of the same name. The music was recorded at the Hammersmith Odeon in London on 3 July 1973, although the album was not issued by RCA Records until 1983. Prior to that it had existed in bootleg form, notably His Masters Voice – Bowie and the Spiders From Mars’ Last Stand.The sound was remixed by Tony Visconti and Richard Tozzoli using the original 16 track tapes. A ‘truer’ live mix emerged, with most of the overdubs from 1981 removed (most notable change is the removal of the added organ from “My Death”), and the stereo recording of the audience restored.This is the full DVD tracklist....  01. Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of All the Young Dudes, the 5th studio album by the English rock band Mott the Hoople, released in 8 September 1972.All the Young Dudes was a turning point for the then-struggling British band. Mott the Hoople were on the verge of breaking up when David Bowie stepped in and gave them the song "All the Young Dudes". Bowie also produced the album, which took Mott "from potential has-beens to avatars of the glam rock movement". The title track, "All the Young Dudes", was released as a single prior to the album and charted worldwide, becoming the "ultimate '70s glitterkid anthem". "Sweet Jane", a cover of the Velvet Underground song from their 1970 album Loaded, was issued as a single In 2003, the album was ranked No. 491 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of The 500 Greatest Albums of All Time. In 2012's revised list, the magazine ranked it at No. 484, saying, "Mott would sound more soulful but never more sexy or glittery." Tracklist:

Sadanthem the debut release from New York based Lostdog in Loveland, is a lush soundscape of infectious melodies with poignant stories told through a sophisticated ensemble of sounds and a deep luscious voice. The results are as one critic put it, “nothing short of brilliant… Pure candy for the ears.”
What makes this record truly special is David Bowie’s pianist Mike Garson and Regina Spektor’s cellist, Yoed Nir adding to the collective layers of instruments to complete the sound of Lostdog in Loveland, taking glam rock into an unexpected new realm.
The stand-out track is a cover of Roxy Music’s, Mother of Pearl. Lostdog in Loveland is able to make it their own with a slight flamboyant intimacy while paying undeviated respect to a classic masterpiece. Not an easy feat.
The songs on sadanthem are mostly introspective and touches on an array of themes. Loss, love, death, enlightenment, insecurity, self-awareness and wonder. sadanthem bounces between light and dark without ever feeling disconnected. Listen and get Lost. After disbanding Lostdog in Loveland, frontman Robert Mag spent the year writing and recording for a new project under the name Shedd. For this new endeavor, Robert recruited good friend Luke Skyscraper James to help out on guitar. Luke fronted post-punk pioneers Fàshiõn, who were signed to IRS by Miles Copeland and open for The Police on US and UK tours, also playing with a host of other acts like Squeeze, The B-52's, The Ramones, and Joy Division.  ...... Irene Cara Escalera (18 March 1959 – 25 November 2022) was an American singer and actress. the singer best known for the title tracks of Fame and Flashdance, has died aged 63 on 25 November 2022
Cara won an Oscar for the song Flashdance... What A Feeling from the 1980s hit movie Flashdance and has been an icon of her generation.
"It is with profound sadness that on behalf of her family I announce the passing of Irene Cara", said a statement on her website.
"She was a beautifully gifted soul whose legacy will live forever through her music and films."Born in 1962 in New York City, she first dazzled audiences when she was just five years old.
She began her career singing and dancing on Spanish television performing with her fathers' mambo band.During her breakout role in the acclaimed 1980 musical Fame she was signed to be a recording artist in her own right and went on to score her biggest hit in the 1983 film Flashdance.
Her performance in Flashdance garnered her an Academy Award for best original song - the first African American woman to win the coveted award since Hattie McDaniel in the 1939 classic Gone With The Wind.
Cara became one of the most awarded artists of her generation, winning Grammies both as a vocalist and a songwriter.
She also appeared in films such as DC Cab and City Heat, as well as various television shows. She also performed in live theatre and musicals. A year after ditching the Spiders, Bowie emerged with a new album, Diamond Dogs, and a spectacular stage presentation featuring futuristic themes inspired by the album cover. This presentation would push the boundaries of theatrical visual presentation set to rock music. The staging was so elaborated and difficult to maintain that there were constant issues with the props and since the group was behind the curtains for much of the performances, it was David who had to be “on” every night. The concert featured here comes right after Bowie’s multi night engagement at The Tower Theater in Philadelphia that was the source for the David Live LP.. There is an alternate and lesser recording that was the source for an old vinyl title, Subway  that was a 10 song bootleg LP. The Music Hall had excellent acoustics and The tape captures the atmosphere and excitement of the performance perfectly. The recording is a bit distant and picks up a great balance of music to audience. The instruments are clear and well defined, and while it’s a tad distant it sounds better at loud volumes.
The set list is strong and Bowie’s new 10 person band creates a full musical backdrop to recreate the new music as well as offer new interpretations of his back catalog. 1984 serves as opener and is based on the famous Orwell novel yet it is the pop of Rebel Rebel that gets the audience up on their feet. Moonage Daydream telling the audience defiantly “I Was The Space Invader” in homage to his former alter ego Ziggy Stardust. Sweet Thing features the band at their best, the interaction between the guitars and the sax section is powerful. Changes has the vaudeville intro, but the highlight of this tour was the Aladdin Sane material, while the band routinely did much of the album. The title song features the Lights On Broadway reference, Cracked Actor even borders on swing, save for Earl Slick playing some blistering leads. The soul inspired Rock ‘N’ Roll With Me would resonate deep within Bowie, so much the style would change the direction of the later part of the tour.
Bowie does an admiral job on Eddie Floyd’s Knock On Wood, so enamored with the song Bowie would actually release it as a single from the David Live record. Space Oddity is excellent, the warp speed sounds as the ship lifts off are excellent and the version of the song makes for a really nice one. There are a couple of deep tracks on this recording, Future Legend and Chant of The Ever Circling Skeletal Family are nice to have, since neither were found on the David Live disc. Width Of A Circle is almost completely unrecognizable in its new arrangement, but is strangely compelling, the percussive Jean Jeanie is quite nice also and after the obligatory Rock ‘N’ Roll Suicide, the audience cheer loudly and the announcer comes out a couple times to tell them that “David Bowie Has Left The Theater” to a round of boos, shades of Elvis! This is a great companion piece to those of us who love the David Live LP as it gives you a feeling of what it was like to “be there”.  • David Bowie – vocals

Ziggy Stardust wrote the blueprint for David Bowie's hard-rocking glam, and Aladdin Sane essentially follows the pattern, for both better and worse. A lighter affair than Ziggy Stardust, Aladdin Sane is actually a stranger album than its predecessor, buoyed by bizarre lounge-jazz flourishes from pianist Mick Garson and a handful of winding, vaguely experimental songs. Bowie abandons his futuristic obsessions to concentrate on the detached cool of New York and London hipsters, as on the compressed rockers "Watch That Man," "Cracked Actor," and "The Jean Genie." Bowie follows the hard stuff with the jazzy, dissonant sprawls of "Lady Grinning Soul," "Aladdin Sane," and "Time," all of which manage to be both campy and avant-garde simultaneously, while the sweepingly cinematic "Drive-In Saturday" is a soaring fusion of sci-fi doo wop and melodramatic teenage glam. He lets his paranoia slip through in the clenched rhythms of "Panic in Detroit," as well as on his oddly clueless cover of "Let's Spend the Night Together." Bowie assembled a new backing band consisting of guitarist Mick Ronson, bassist Trevor Bolder and drummer Mick Woodmansey,Future Yes member Rick Wakeman contributed on piano. Bowie co-produced the album with Ken Scott.His lyrical concerns on the record range from the compulsive nature of artistic reinvention on "Changes", to occultism and Nietzschean philosophy on "Oh! You Pretty Things" and "Quicksand"; several songs make cultural and literary references. He was also inspired by his stateside tour to write songs dedicated to three American icons: Andy Warhol, Bob Dylan, and Lou Reed. The song "Kooks" was dedicated to Bowie's newborn son Duncan.Upon release, Hunky Dory and its lead single "Changes" received little promotion from RCA who were wary that Bowie would transform his image shortly.
