Jack Culling is a performing artist raised in Queens, New York. Written from his life experiences, Jack’s music is made for those who seek an expansion of their awareness through philosophical thought and the observation of life. He touches on topics ranging from his past with his father to his struggles with his own mental health as well as struggles with identity. Inspired by acts such as Evanescence, Lana Del Rey, Amy Winehouse, and The Weeknd, Astros’ vocal choices are expressive and personal. His lower range serenades you with a warm, sultry vibration akin to Lana Del Rey, Benjamin Clementine, or Giveon, while his higher range shines through the mix with its jovial presence and unique quality, similar to Eddie Van Halen, The Weeknd, Justin Bieber, or Lil Nas X. The production choices can be described as cinematic pop. Jack was previously known as the artist, XCORPIIIO. During this time, he achieved such feats as reaching over 30,000 streams in his first month releasing music, and performed at high profile events such as the ROLE Experience hosted by Hot 97’s Shaboogie, and the Audiomack Concert at Chelsea Hall hosted by Dickbyair. Additionally, his 2020 independent album, “A Means to An End”, garnered positive feedback from grammy award winning authorities such as Stuart White (Beyoncé, Nicki Minaj, Jay Z), with Kerry Brothers (Alicia Keys, Drake, Her) stating, “You’re in your own lane” (commentary on 'Ride').
