Inspired by Traditional Afro Caribbean Music from Curaçao and  European Dance, Kuenta i Tambú has created a brand new sound! They cleverly found a balance between electronic sound samples, singing and chanting and the infectious rhythms played by ritual tambú drums.


Some call it Global Bass, others prefer labeling it Tambutronic but one thing is for sure: it’s a wild and colorful explosion of energy, and always seems to set off some serious movements on the dancefloor!

Kuenta i Tambú  translates to “Stories and Drums” from Papiamentu, which is the language spoken on the islands of Curaçao, Aruba and Bonaire (Dutch Antilles). The group is based in Amsterdam and was formed in 2005 after a series of educational projects at schools and theaters to introduce the music and culture of Curaçao to children in the Netherlands.
During this period the first songs were written, establishing the sound and identity of the group which nowadays is known for its high energy shows, with a great deal of humoristic highlights, hypnotizing beats and dazzling percussive interplay between bandmembers.

Gipsy Groove is formed in 2010 and plays authentic Balkan Roma music, often injected with other musical influences like Jazz, Reggae, Funk, Ska, DnB etc. Therefore Gypsy Groove becomes the only band in Kosovo performing traditional Roma folk music and mixing it up with new styles. Gipsy Groove music is not only the great sound to listen to, but it invites both your body to dance and your mind to move and rethink the questions of justice, discrimination, anti gypsyism, racism and take a positive action toward those. They are example of music power against prejudices and many other social issues. The band members are from a variety of ethnic backgrounds and they bring this cultural diversity, as well as their commitment to human rights and peace, into their performances.  Musicians are introducing Roma folk and culture in a modern way. While the cover songs are mostly talking about Roma holidays and festivities, the new ones - 'Just a gipsy', 'Beehive' and 'Meet your neighbor'- illustrate different experiences and forms of discrimination, together inviting us not only to take a closer look into the world of Roma, but to take a stand against all the injustice they face.
