The element of sound has captivated StarBreather’s being since his first Beach Boys vinyl record in the late 80’s. As life went on, he found himself diving deeper and deeper into the realm of music and how sound can be multi dimensional and medicinal. He began creating mixed tapes at the age of ten and since then, it’s been an ongoing experience of collecting music.

It wasn’t until 1999 that he got into electronic music and the rave scene, which spoke so deeply to his soul. Once that happened and digital platforms became available, he began playisting like crazy. This created a desire to share music with people in hopes of becoming a DJ one day. Imagining a group of people moving together like one breathing organism was his vision and what motivated him to embrace his passion for music.

In 2024 life opened up with massive support from Bass Nymph to create and ground in his dream of DJing. Since then, he has released multiple DJ mixes and received his first invitation from Elemental Entropy to practice DJing with other DJ friends at a house party. After that, other DJ gigs have aligned for him to express his excitement for orchestrating music to share with others. Being supported from the local Maui DJ scene has been monumental with actualizing what was once a dream.

StarBreather’s mixes are a journey of emotion and always have a theme based on what life is presenting him. Having a soundtrack present is whats held beautiful space for his journey in this world. His mixes consist of 140 bass music (deep/dark bass, chill bass) future garage, wave and deep house.
