After everything had quietly sifted through my head a great peace came over me. Here, where the river gently winds through the girdle of hills, lies a soil so saturated with the past that however far back the mind roams one can never detach it from its human background. Christ, before my eyes there shimmered such a golden peace that only a neurotic could dream of turning his head away. So quietly flow the Seine that one hardly notices its presence. It is always there, quiet and unobtrusive, like a great artery running through the human body. In the wonderful peace that fell over me it seemed as if I had climbed to the top of a high mountain; for a little while I would be able to look around me, to take in the meaning of the landscape. Human beings make a strange fauna and flora. From a distance they appear negligible; close up they are apt to appear ugly and malicious. More than anything they need to be surrounded with sufficient space – space even more than time. The sun is setting. I feel this river flowing through me its past, its ancient soil, the changing climate. The hills gently girdle it about: its course is fixed. Tlazohtla is a man of wisdom and pure, unspoiled feelings. This is his first offering for Shango Records. These two tracks can help you save the universe. Funkenschleuder, Sevn (CA), Chomba and Y.Loh leave everything cosmic in your hands and minds with pleasure.

Danse des Elements (Mix)

With a recent dash towards the sun I found myself in the north of Tenerife, lush gardens and black sands I was taken back by how beautiful this side of the Island was and felt I was more in Central America than the Canary Islands.
As a little task and something to keep my ears busy I decided to record those familiar sounds of heading off on your Holidays and created a new Ambient Journey, not all sounds are as tranquil as the waves crashing on the rocks but sometimes we need to suffer a little to appreciate the joys of life.

Many moons have risen since our last installment of the Flight Club. Nevertheless, we have travelled and we have grown. There is still so much left to explore, still so many stories untouched but every once in a while we need to take a break and marvel at the flowers.

For our seventh episode we're delighted to serve you a live set filled with yonder. Written, composed and performed by our dear friend and companion @kusht-music. Recorded at Lawo in Oslo, brought to you via the enormous interwebs by your favourite sloth family.

Kusht is a word Scots use to describe anything and anyone that's nice and cozy. And that's what this is. Nice and cozy. Made with love and craftsmanship for the sole purpose of transporting you through sonar spheres of beauty and wonder.

My Oh My! Its been a rollercoaster of a summer! In fact its been a crazy year for Kusht, from releasing my first EP on Drosssel to playing my favourite stage at Fusion in little over a year i can only extend my fullest thank you to everyone who has shown so much trust in my music. 
Opening the empty stage you can only imagine i had my worries about playing to a playa with the odd tumble weed rolling through but that was not the case. Thank you to those who sat and waited for me to bring the beat and the crazy amount of masses who came running and cartwheeling towards the stage. 

This is a gig i truly cherish and wont forget so it brings me great delight to present this to you all :)

EthnoKast#14 - Les Rencontres de Da Iguana

It was a sparkling Saturday night at Fusion Festival, all dancers were out of their shelters after the burning sun had set, the energy was raising high when Buddy aka Kusht (https://soundcloud.com/kusht-music) stepped on stage and began his show. Kusht is a Norway-based Scottishman born under the sign of Aquarius, who has been playing in bands for about sixteen years and started his electronic productions seven years ago. His first steps into this new dimension were not really firm, he says. His loud, rock background was clear, but he couldn’t really identify his electronic sound until he visited Fusion Festival for the first time, four years ago. In that very inspiring chaos he found his path, he finally knew how his productions were about to sound, and here we have a great taste of that. The set that we are about to bring to your
ears was recorded live at the Dub Station. It comprises exclusively his original material, some of it was released on his latest vinyl ‘Together’(@ynfnd), and some is still unreleased. For this live set Kusht unleashed his guitar and selected the tracks he plays it the most on, so the set sounds more like a rock performance with world-music influences, rather than the typical electronic set. The artist confessed to us that sometimes he wishes he had an extra arm playing live guitar throughout his performances. 
Enough words spent, it’s time to listen to this amazing set...and to listen to it LOUD!
