The compilation is inspired by our weekly radio show of the same name, which is co-hosted by Jacob and Tom, as well as Johan Vilborg, Jayeson Andel, Vintage & Morelli, & Terry Da Libra. Reaching international listeners on Proton Radio, Digitally Imported, Pure.FM, Tenzi.FM, Dance Paradise, and other radio platforms, Silk Royal Showcase recently reached its 300th episode (http://www.silkroyalshowcase.com) and now often ranks amongst the Top 100 Music Podcasts in the USA on iTunes.

Carefully selected to represent the sound of Silk Royal Showcase radio, the songs included in the compilation range from the more pensive and melancholic shades of progressive to the more club-oriented, peak-hour material we tend to play at the end of our radio show mixes and live sets. Many of the artists are seasoned veterans of the SRS compilation series; there are also numerous first-time contributors to this year's compilation, many of whom have asserted themselves as leading talents in trance & progressive in just the past year. LTN - Haven Place (Mrmilkcarton Remix)

UK based artist and synth enthusiast Matthew Hodson was one of the first to get his hands on a prototype of the Modal SKULPT synthesiser. He produced this banging demo track showcasing some of the sonic capabilities our new portable polyphonic synth can dish out.

One half of the Knighstown outfit, Matthew is a busy performer and music producer who has worked in some of the best studios up and down of the UK. Just signed to the legendary FatCat Records, his future sonic excursions will see Matthew produce his own brand of psychedelic techno characterised for his controlled fusion of both ambient and aggressive electronica. His latest album ‘DETACH’ builds on layers of rhythms and melody, drenched in arrhythmic delays and swashes of reverb, which masterfully play with song structure, provoking the listener with familiarity and yet disconnection - is out now via his own label Solitude. Recent performances by Hodson include opening for Wire, supporting the likes of Alex Banks (Monkeytown Records), Ulrich Schnauss, Rival Consoles (Erased Tapes) and also working with the original BBC Radiophonic Workshop on their new material at Peter Gabriel’s Realworld studios.

We welcome back the uprising MaxLoop to Summer Melody. After his spectacular debut on Summer Melodies Vol.5, he returns with his debut EP release full of Unfamiliar Nostalgia, three different melodic and sensational tracks.

Starting with Unfamiliar, the track is full of skyline cruising and airy vibes, the mesmerising vocals in the track complemented with the chords and the flowing melodies. The second track Nostalgia, continues the similar vibe with a more compressed chords and bassline pairing, hinted on the sense of nostalgia that the past years has given to us. The release continues with Boracay 5AM, a light wash of haze and red from the sunrise from Boracay, the uplifting beat accompanies with the beautiful melodies, and certainly a pleasant end for the release. But the true end of the release includes the Alternative Mix of Unfamiliar, which introduces the dub version but with a new melody pairing and delicately placed vocal chops.
