Ever since we discovered this edit by Frolov, it became a kind of beautiful madness — playing almost on loop, morning after morning.
Every now and then, we come across a track that truly touches the soul, lifting our vibration higher every time we hear it. These are the creations we come to rely on to make us smile, to dream, to celebrate, and to carry us through life’s many moments.

This unique piece — an edit of a traditional song from Thailand — gets the highest praise we can give: absolutely epic.
We’re grateful to share it with all of you, and deeply thankful to Frolov, a Ukrainian producer and DJ whose talent and professionalism we admire.

May all have an epic rest of Summer, with music and joy.

Praah -productor y lutier franco colombiano- en colaboración con Festival Nómade más ocho artistas europeos y latinoamericanos, han dado forma a “Chamada”, un EP de remixes del single del mismo nombre. Esta canción fue producida por Praah con la intención de unir varios continentes, integrando idiófonos (Sanza) por la parte africana, aerófonos japoneses (Hotchiku) y flautas y ocarinas por la parte de americana precolombina. 

“Chamada Remixes” avanza desde un sonido orgánico y suave, muy profundo, adquiriendo tintes electrónicos pulidos y progresivos. Evoluciona de manera natural, logrando generar nuevas texturas, gracias a las versiones de productores amigos con búsquedas sonoras complementarias. 

Así comienza a tomar forma concreta una familia musical fundada en el intercambio, el rescate y el downtempo. Chamada Remixes es la primera producción de una serie de trabajos colectivos que ya están empezando a gestarse y serán liberados de manera gratuita.

ABOUT Mehr is Mehr:

Vera and Rosalie first met in 2013. In the folllowing two years they discovered the techno scene of Berlin. They heard and saw a lot, always standing in the first line with their hearts on the beat. They didn’t even try to resist the beauty of techno music and decided to buy a really old Traktor controller. After a while they started to play at birthday parties of friends and their friends. One day the old controller crashed and they bought - coupled with a lot of sweat- a new one. That was the point in the history of Mehr is Mehr when they started to do it in a more focused and serious way than ever before. Some months later they had their first Club gig at Birgit & Bier (4.6.16). The following year was crazy enough. They entered Berlin clubs like Ritter Butzke, Kultstätte Keller and Kosmonaut. They had the chance to play at the awesome place called "Gängeviertel“ in Hamburg. Around the same time, Nicorus started with his Techno/Psyparty "Les enfants d’la cave“ and invited them to be part of his crew.  As if this year wasn't crazy enough, their biggest dream of spinning at Hammahalle at Sisyphos came true! By the way: Hammahalle was the place where Mehr is Mehr got their name about two years ago. Looking back to the past summer filled with techno and festivals like "Wilde Möhre Festival“ and "Oewerall Festival“, it feels like this can’t be true. Mehr is Mehr is now part of the Wuzacrew, which offers an exchange in many ways. There’s still no end to see, as you may suspect: Mehr is Mehr.

Born under the shade of the sails of Scampia, difficult neighborhood at the periphery of Naples. Born in 1980, she embarked on a career in the music world working very hard, starting as a waitress in many clubs and then as a dancer for several years. 
When she was a teenager she moved to Northern Italy for the high school, started a route into the world of fashion industry studying to become a fashion designer, but soon she understands that his path was in a completely different direction, enthusiasm for the night life in the local gave her the right reason to start a journey that now counts a lot of people who appreciate her, first of all for her talent. 
Came back soon to live in her hometown, Naples, who led Deborah to work on her knowledge into new music genres and trends, giving shape to a charisma that immediately has worked hard with productions signed by her as Sola_mente Records label founded in March 2013. Archaeological evidence from prehistoric times suggests that the Earth was once viewed as a living, female being. Ancient texts and mythologies support the idea of a female deity associated with the earth and all life. The Phyrigian Earth Mother Kybele was one such figure among many and represented the earth, mountains, caverns, and all nature, the birth of humanity, the universe and everything in it. 

Inspired by this timeless and universal vision, this project is dedicated to featuring and celebrating the bounty and beauty of the creative works of women in music through special podcasts, original releases, and mixtapes curated by women producers, DJs, and musicians of a wide range of genres from around the world. 

In addition to highlighting the works of women in music, Kybele develops opportunities for broader inclusion of and greater collaboration among emerging and established artists  of all backgrounds through the "Friends of Kybele" series.
