I've just sat and listened to the entire EP all the way through. I never do that. Usually listen for a few minutes, react and then listen properly later. This is such a triumph. Man, LOVE The Sound Of Revolution! Great vibe to it, really swings and it's got that Italo-y vocal which tops it off perfectly. My Music is lovely, too, and Italians In A Line reminds me a lot of Joey Negro's remix of Extortion's How Do You See Me Now and then finally the Bill Wyman-sampling La Samba is fun, too and a great use of that quirky intro. What a way to kick off the year. Early contender for Furtive 50 in 2019. Killer.

Italian producer Giovanni Damico (otherwise known as G-Machine or Ron Juan) has been busting out funkified gems for more than 10 years now, and his mighty back catalogue includes plenty of turns on Lumberjacks In Hell. He returns to the label with four crisp and refined slices of boogie business that span a range of tempos to give you plenty of party tackle for any situation. "The Sound Of Revolution" is a natural choice for the A1, dripping with cosmic synth flexes and an irresistible groove, while the snappily titled "Italians In A Line" brings a sweet strain of upfront robo-disco to the table.

Punkin Machine's "I Need You Tonight”, originally released in 1981, is another typical example of an underground hit, played at many a flat party these days like an obvious, bona-fide early 80s discopop hit when it was actually quite obscure until James Murphy unearthed it on his FabricLive Mix in 2007. Produced by Jerry Cucuzzella, the track is a feel good bumping disco track, with punchy bass, spanky guitars and sassy vocals that make for an uplifting and energetic listen - a nice throwback to the heyday of Montreal disco.

Fort d’avoir remis au goût du spritz la variété italienne en France, Alex Rossi revient le temps d’un album intemporel et définitif (signé par Kwaidan records et accompagné d’agnès b) sur ses origines transalpines, de Lucio Battisti à Pino D’Angio et sur sa déviance pour l’Italo-Disco. « Domani è un’altra notte », c’est son titre, sortira à l’automne aux premiers jours de l’été indien réalisé par « La Famiglia » aka ses amis Arnaud Pilard et Romain Guerret (Dondolo, Aline). 
6 ans après « L’ultima canzone » (sorti chez Born Bad), Alex Rossi « le plus italien des chanteurs français » ne pouvait pas rester que sur ce succès.
« Tutto va bene quando facciamo l’amore » est le premier extrait de son testament rital où tout est résumé en une seule phrase. Gimmick fédérateur qui donne envie de faire l’amour « con piacere » n’importe où et n’importe quand et où se balancent pendentif et gourmette dorés sur un tube humide accompagné par la chanteuse Jo Wedin qui lui souffle « J’adore le sax » joué par Laurent Bardainne (Poni Hoax, Limousine).

After having blown a refreshing breeze of Italian pop over France, Alex Rossi is back with a timeless and authoritative album (released on Kwaidan Records with the help of agnès b) centered around his Italian roots, from Lucio Battisti to Pino D’Angio, and for his Italo-Disco leanings. “Tutto va bene quando facciamo l’amore”, the first single from this Italian testament, sums it up in one neat sentence. A unifying, gimmicky ditty that makes everyone feel like making love “con piacere” (anytime, anywhere) swings like a heavy gold chain and matching bracelet over a sweaty number featuring singer Jo Wedin, who coos “J’adore le sax”, played by Laurent Bardainne (Poni Hoax, Limousine).
