Kym Cargill is a solo singer and songwriter. Most of Kym’s recorded music has a unique Modern Country feel and vibe, however, each track has a varied, different and new sound, ranging from emotional to funky uptown beats with vocals cleverly changing from the high level mezzo-soprano notes to the more comfortable, soothing levels that you would expect in a modern country track.

Kym began piano and singing lessons at the age of 11 having dreamt of being part of a large musical theatre production, she partook in dancing and acting around about the same age. Kym, found success within a few small production companies within her local town, playing the part of Kate Mullens in Titanic as well as parts in Sweeney Todd, Full Monty and Little Shop of Horrors. The height of her musical theatre career came at the age of 20 when she took on a role in a rendition of Oliver Twist at the prestigious Edinburgh Playhouse Theatre.

During her early 20s, Kym moved to London for University where she attended Middlesex University to complete BCs Popular Music. Her course was taught by lecturers and experts within the industry with guest appearances from some iconic musicians such as the likes of The XX. Kym blossomed within her environment. She took advantage of the creative situation and produced incredible variations of popular songs while collaborating with exceptionally talented producers and musicians. This has given Kym the confidence and skills to write, perform and produce her own material allowing her to create studio quality music without expensive studio sessions and engineers.

Kym’s aspiration is to be a Songwriter through a publishing contract with a record label or independent artist.
