// Nothing but Dust 
‘Nothing but Dust’ addresses the theme of modern man’s search for his soul. The song revisits the ancient practice of desert hermitage as a means to confront and enrich one’s soul. 

The lyrics recall the sounds and semantics of the poems of the 13th c. Persian mystic, Rumi, while the music has Arabian influences. In this increasingly material world we live in, the song, to quote Jung, finds solace in the ‘desert of one's soul’ – through poetry and metal.

�  About The Chronicles of Manimal and Samara

Hailed as “pioneers of a new form of expression” through the performance of poetry in music, The Chronicles of Manimal and Samara (TCOMAS) are a UK-based duo comprising Daphne Ang (Singapore) and Andrea Papi (Italy) who came together in London in early 2020 to record their debut album, Full Spectrum, which they released on 26 February 2021. 

The duo draws inspiration from many sources stemming from Tool through to Kraftwerk and Russian Circles, as well as absorbing the poetry of Virginia Woolf and Jim Morrison in their lyrics and ‘poetry performance’. TCOMAS's music strives to fill a gap in music by bringing literature and history together into an arena where rock and metal meets electronica.Their musical and lyrical themes are very much rooted in the duo’s interests in classical literature and theatre, as well as in the fields of philosophy, history, and psychology.

just me, my guitar and the recognition, that i failed in almost everything
all alone, and by darkness surrounded, it seems the emptiness is my destiny
verse1:
cause my soul already lost at the ocean, and this ocean is filled with my tears,
i can feel my body is drowning, and i can not reach the shore
chorus:
shout out loud for help, but no one seems to hear, and nobody cares if i disappear 
the hope will die at last, of course there is no doubt, may i rest in peace, cause time is running out

i denied to look in the mirror, cause the reflection shows my enemy,
a painted smile on a face full of sorrow, cause the happiness is burried to deep
like a child lost in the forrest, and the parents are out of reach, or

The Malicks - Alone`n´Frustraded (2022)

A song for the age in which none of us are seen. The band retreated to studio in northern Iceland to finish the album. starting with shrill distortion it soon finds it's mellow groove before ramping up in true  Laxá style to that pleasing mix of post rock and dub reggae.

From here no-one can see us, just hear the distant echo of faraway guitars.
