SUBSTANCES is a sonic intersection where raw rhythm meets subtle texture, and harsh energy dances with precision. This compilation brings together six artists who shape their music with intention, instinct, and machine: @smforma, @voiceoftone, @tadan127, @alexkrellmusic, @nikita-kiriuchinas, and @kabahart. 

This album moves between broken rhythms, dense atmospheres, and raw textures — tracing a line from sharp industrial beats to hypnotic techno pulses, from ghostly melodies to explosive energy. Across these tracks, softness collides with harshness, structure melts into chaos, and personal visions unfold without restraint.

Built on hardware machines, sculpted by hand and intuition, SUBSTANCES is more than a collection. It's a raw, unfiltered expression of sound, a statement of method over trends, of community over ego, and of sound as substance.

This is how @nikita-kiriuchinas approaches music — a creator whose world blends sound and visual arts. His journey began with piano and accidental discoveries, evolving into studies, performances, and a deep connection with sound. For him, music is everyday life, love, and purpose — giving meaning to his craft.

Nikita combines live instruments with digital tools. Idea generation is a tactile experience, shaping sound directly. Yet, when refining his pieces, he shifts to digital space, where control becomes more precise.

SUBSTANCES became a new creative playground. Its atmospheric and melodic layers inspired him to craft a track full of color, energy, sensitivity, and a hint of aggression.

NIKITA - Substance Abuse

SUBSTANCES is a soundscape filled with textures, details, and rhythms—waiting for you to discover and shape it through limitless experimentation.

This collection was explored by @tadan127 — a creator and the driving force behind @area127 label. His path to music wasn’t straightforward. Starting with Ableton in school, he spent years feeling stuck, unable to find satisfaction in his creations. The turning point came when he got his hands on hardware — synthesizers and drum machines reignited his joy of making music.

Tadan’s creative process is almost entirely hardware-based. He values physical interaction with sound — shaping it through touch, uncovering unexpected forms and structures. His music is energy in motion, both driving and hypnotic.

SUBSTANCES became another playground for him, where a few standout sounds formed the foundation of a new composition. “Hard Is For The Lovest People” is a rhythm that carries you away, playing with discovered textures and unexpected sonic twists.

Tadan - Hard Is For The Lovest People

SUBSTANCES — a sound pack for those unafraid to dive deep and search for new shapes within sound. Textures, details, and rhythms — a foundation for your own experiments.

The first to explore it was @smforma — a duo of Mario and Jogilė, where industrial landscapes merge with the human voice. Growing up in industrial, noise, and punk scenes, Mario shapes sound like raw material — through machines, distortion, and rhythm. Jogilė adds a layer of voice and melody — atmospheric yet tense, like a thin veil stretched over dense soundscapes.

The duo reveals their full power in live performances — music born in the moment, organic, unpredictable, and captivating. For them, music is both a necessity and a connection — a way to distill emotions and let sound speak for itself.

Their track “Jokios Baimės” — “No Fear” — is their response to the SUBSTANCES pack. Raw, hypnotic, and fearless — a journey into sound without hesitation or doubt.

SMFORMA - Jokios Baimės

SUBSTANCES - a sound pack for those who seek stories as well as rhythms, textures and details creating a plot out of experiments.

SUBSTANCES was found by @voiceoftone, a creator for whom music is a journey through different forms and emotions. From nursery rhymes to classical singing, from guitar to hours at the piano, every step lead towards music. He was introduced to music production in 2008 when his dad showed him Fruity Loops Studio, a DAW he has been using ever since.

He shapes sound meticulously: automating, arranging, seeking precision and clarity. While the warmth of analogue is charming, he prefers a refined, precise sound, so he works digital only. This way, the rigor of techno and the melodic and harmonic line of classical music are intertwined.

"Between Quarks" is a three-part story. A journey from stability to chaos, ending in balance, inspired by the atmospheres and percussion of the SUBSTANCES set. They convey this journey in the work.

Voice Of Tone - Between Quarks

SUBSTANCES – a collection of rhythms, textures, and layers that shape experimentation and bring creative ideas to life.

This was the goal behind SUBSTANCES, created by @kabahart. His journey began as a child when he first heard Deadmau5 – SOFI Needs a Ladder and felt the urge to create music. Initially aiming to be a metal band vocalist, he decided to try composing metal instrumentals. Searching for his sound, he went through a trap phase before ultimately finding his place in electronic music.

KabaharT creates exclusively with hardware. In 2021, he purchased his first piece of gear, realizing that a direct connection with sound was a must. One machine soon grew into a collection, with his favorites being the SOMA Pulsar-23 and Moog Minitaur drum synthesizers.

His music balances soft and sharp, smooth and hard. Influences from Witch-House, EBM, and Aggrotech shape every sound in this collection. Refined percussion and one-shots give it a distinct character.

KabaharT - Angel Grinder

SUBSTANCES - a sonic space where rhythms, textures and details become creative tools that invite experimentation.

The same principle is applied by @alexkrellmusic, whose music is deep, hypnotic and creates an atmosphere where energy and emotion intertwine. His journey on stage began more than fifteen years ago, when his ambition to get people dancing went beyond the decks - he wanted his music to be on the dancefloor, and when it’s greeted with smiles and euphoria, everything falls into place.

Alex works exclusively in a digital environment. While it’s fun to play around with gear, the computer has become the main tool that allows him to quickly implement ideas and avoid creative brakes. His music is an ever-changing soundscape dominated by deep, atmospheric layers and precisely constructed rhythms. SUBSTANCES has become another tool for him, as percussion and atmosphere have merged into a new form that expresses his vision.
