SUBSTANCES - a sound pack for those who seek stories as well as rhythms, textures and details creating a plot out of experiments.

SUBSTANCES was found by @voiceoftone, a creator for whom music is a journey through different forms and emotions. From nursery rhymes to classical singing, from guitar to hours at the piano, every step lead towards music. He was introduced to music production in 2008 when his dad showed him Fruity Loops Studio, a DAW he has been using ever since.

He shapes sound meticulously: automating, arranging, seeking precision and clarity. While the warmth of analogue is charming, he prefers a refined, precise sound, so he works digital only. This way, the rigor of techno and the melodic and harmonic line of classical music are intertwined.

"Between Quarks" is a three-part story. A journey from stability to chaos, ending in balance, inspired by the atmospheres and percussion of the SUBSTANCES set. They convey this journey in the work.
