Stevie R & Parisinos land on Playground’s 37th reference with an Ep flooded with dark magic, mystical chants and trippy atmospheres. The release is composed by two original mixes alongside two delightful remixes from the Romanian duo Khidja and London based artist Mytron.  This launch was inspired by recent events, by the transformation of the way of life around us and the ability for music to guide us through wandering adventures.  Our premiere of Mytron’s remix closes the story by giving us a hopeful ending, taking us all to the dance floor to exorcise our sorrows.

"Delicately laid introduction, smooth fade-in, and amazingly executed swishes and swooshes, not only in the beginning but throughout the whole song, sets a strong foundation and holds up till the very end. Not to mention the clever use of synths and other gloomy electronic elements that not only casts a bright light to hint at a genre but also to set a certain mood. Despite being a new incarnation of disco, it has a distinct house flavor. As pretty much every dance song in the industry, it has this engaging and also charming synth-bass sequence, for some it might seem overused and can get annoying over time, but I always say this - "if it fits, it sits". Just as I am a fan of this particular bass practice in the songs, I am also a fan of sonar sounds and especially the combination of both - bass and sonar, if done right and this track delivers without any doubt, I'm sold. However, this isn't quite the selling point of this wonderful track. What got me hooked, was something else. I would say it was a blend of pretty much everything Tantra had to offer in this anthem of sorts, although a few elements stood out above the rest. The sophisticated use of wind instruments with the addition of vocal inclusion was spot on, the mix of these two just added a life-like experience, cultural mirroring phenomenon was so present, it made me so involved, I completely lost a track of time. Speaking about time, I usually avoid songs that are longer than 7 minutes or so, and when I saw the duration of this song, I was like - "Oh man, this is gonna be a drag". 
But fortunately, this James Rod edit surprised me in more ways than I can imagine. I strongly recommend this beautiful and so down-to-earth masterpiece, that not only provides a solid listening experience but is also technically dense and arranged in the most explicit way possible." - Quixotical Music psychoanalyst Vidas Stanynas.

While we were finishing the last details of this release, we read with astonishment in the news that a group of scientists was able to take the first photograph of the black hole that exists in the heart of the milky way. This has raised many questions that we usually find in science fiction. What are they? Are they the portal to another dimension? Are there other dimensions beyond known space-time? The truth is, we don't know shit about this. But the first thing that came to mind, as we laughed through thick clouds of smoke and listened to the final mastering of 'Sticker Shock', was: where did these guys come from? This sound has to come from another dimension. There is no other explanation.

We are more than psyched to introduce you to our reference number 044 “Sticker Shock” produced by Zillas On Acid.
Thomas Roland and James Weissinger were born and raised in Philadelphia (or so they say) and in recent years have built a solid catalog with different appearances in Optimo, Les Disques de la Mort, Multi Cult and Dischi Autunno, among others.

This EP has unique assembled layers and planes. The songs are at the same time fun, psychedelic and deep, mixing slow-motion death disco, dubbed-out drum machine music, and of course ACID to get party people on all planets pumped.

On the remix side, the great German Tolouse Low Trax offers us a robotic, kraut and freaky-funk reinterpretation of the song that gives the album its name. And last but not least, label boss Martin Noise join forces with talented young producer DELLA to create a groovy and percussive madness version of ‘Paper Party’

After the sold-out first edition of Correcciones, Mexican label Calypso returns with Volume 2 of the series, unveiling four strong contenders for Edit of the Year. Starting things off, Calypso co-label boss Thomass Jackson has his way with a weirdo Polish jazz/fusion/funk track that keeps turning left while continually finding the right direction.
Russian label regulars Simple Symmetry join forces with co-label boss INigo Vontier to deliver a "monster peak-time mantra" that's as perfect for morning rites as it is for nocturnal adventures.

This Album, a child of the Shelter Me Festival in December 2020, is in Aid of Shelter UK and the
wonderful work they do to helping people with homelessness or difficult housing conditions.
The Festival took place over 3 days, across the 3 cities of Manchester, London and Leeds, and
several of the artists who performed live at the event have contributed to this production too.
The track used for the project is entitled Shake Up Your Mind by Steady State which contains a
vocal sample of Ofra Haza from her song entitled Im Nin Alu. All remixes were created with the
greatest love and respect, with one common goal, to help others less fortunate than ourselves
through music, unity and genuine will to make a positive change.
Each and every one of the artists, producers and mastering services have generously given their
time freely to create a unique album of 21 remixes, spanning a colourful musical spectrum from
Dense Dark Dubbiness, through Timeless Techno and Uplifting Acid, to Squelchy Squalid
Chuggers.
This is a limited release set for 05.03.21 with all proceeds going the Shelter Uk.
All of us at Shelter Me would like to thank everyone who has helped, supported and contributed
along the way.
