The 30th and milestone story of our series is marked by the wonderful Portuguese duo Ohxalá. It is with great pleasure to host this rare sound on our series. Porto - Portugal. "Banho Maria" is the Portuguese expression for a slow-cooking technique used to melt chocolate. Enjoy two hours of slow, melting sounds enhanced by Ohxalá's unique touches.

Ohxalá is the musical project of Maria & Luis who live in Porto, Portugal Their tracks are part of several mixtapes around the world within the growing wave of ethnobeats. In 2017 they released their debut EP “O Futuro do Passado” in Casa Caos (BR), Dona Cuíca EP on Cosmic Awakenings (US) and more recently the Sereias do Planeta Vermelho Ep on Ready Mix Records (CA) with remixes from acclaimed producers such as M. Rux, Lemurian, Dandara, Discoshaman, Intiche, Nillo & Maracuyá, MiRET, Thommie G and Rodrigo Gallardo.

The duo is eager to explore a thematic cut with a focus on Portuguese, Brazilian and African culture, inspired by the strong rhythmic foundation of popular and ancient music. Their productions are full of field recordings and booming bass lines and they did not skimp on the effort to incorporate traditional ethnic folk elements into contemporary electronic music - which is what makes this project a unique musical experience.

This voyage is a live recording of the duo's DJ set at a Banho Maria party in Maus Hábitos.

The rāga saga is a series that acts as a cultural collectiva of our favourite artists from all over, each raga is an array of melodic structures with musical motifs, considered in the Indian tradition to have the ability to "colour the mind" and affect the emotions of the audience and this journey (raga) and this rāga comes from one of the sweetest souls I have ever come across @solarsister
