McG started selecting almost a decade ago on university radio at WSUM 91.7 FM Madison, then a few years later for @sutrofm in San Fransisco. 

@spinzone_radio became a weekly show dedicated to sharing record shop finds. its early beginnings were mostly jazz-dominated then eventually took a plunge into the deep house and disco realms.

While residing in Madison, McG joined the JAMS crew to throw parties at Robinia Courtyard, opening for artists like Jkriv, Seb Wildblood, Peter Croce, Jeff Swiff, Christian James... 

Fast forward to now he's back in the heart of Minneapolis. McG recently formed "The Excavators": a DJ duo with fellow selector @qjmpls. The Excavators now host a newer series called Wax Appeal: a vinyl-focused party in Minneapolis.

This mix epitomizes The Spinzone Radio Show in all its jazziness, depth and grooviness.

Next up, welcome Dublin-based DJ & house producer Glenn Davis 👋 🇮🇪

In 2012, Glenn began his journey into music production which has seen him work with U.K. house music legend Ashley Beedle (Africanz On Marz) on four releases. Glenn’s Body & Soul Ep, Namida Ep and Special Ep all on (F*CLR Records) gained support from DJs like Laurent Garnier, DJ Moxie, Joey Negro, DJ Cosmo, DJ Nature and many more, with Francois K playing Namida (Africanz on Marz remix) on his WorldWide FM show.

We first came across Glenn when we picked up 'I Need You' on Deeper Groove Recordings, and he's also released music on F*CLR Music, YORE, Wolf Music @nysoul, @LocalTalk, Midnight Riot and Flaneurecords Berlin. 

His most recent release 'Space and Time' on Ascension On Wax displays the best of his production: subtle jazz references, skilful production layering, dreamy deep house chords & vocal sampling. This EP includes a remix from Mark Hand & has been receiving props from DJs Jimpster, DJ Sneak, The Mighty Zaf, Nick Holder, Fred P, Lay Far, Giles Smith, Honey Dijon and many more. 

Glenn has over 25 years of DJing experience that has seen him play many clubs and festivals, including UK festivals Southport Weekender, Liverpool Disco Festival and recently M01 Club Berlin. He‘s been a vinyl collector since the mid-nineties and his passion for finding and playing deep, soulful music never stops.

As part of Dublin’s Groovement Soul collective, he was involved in running club nights in Dublin from 2003 , bringing DJs like Phil Asher, Lay Far, Recloose, Bob Jones, Mad Matts and many more to Ireland.

Other recent work includes a track for prestigious label Local Talk Records in their 13 years later compilation, remixes for DJ Craig Smith, DJ Jauche, DJ Gratts and Irish producer @Balmr for Toronto’s @SelectionsLabel.

He's graciously delivered a mix in his fluid, delicately deep style 🚀

Rick Wade is one of those electronic music producers who deserves the honorific title of "maestro." Listening to his music unlocks vibes, sensations, triggered by a deep knowledge of music that is impossible to reproduce without doing the work. The same, I think, goes for his DJ sets. 

This mix series, Sanctify, was created with a sound like Rick Wade's in mind: warm, analog-sounding deep house. "Late Night Basix" could be an alternate title. Though we started with others, Rick Wade drew the blueprint for this.

5 Mag Cover Mix ⚡️ Rick Wade - Sanctify vol 10

Simone Mascali, aka Steal Tapes aka HouseHeadz00, was born in 1998 in a small town between Milan and Varese. From a very young age he fell in love with music, with a distinct preference for hip hop and electronic music, which he loved to dance to. He started producing at the age of 13 and has never stopped. His sound is constantly evolving, but always characterised by attention to detail and fresh, cutting-edge sounds. 

He also runs his own record label called 'MINE IS YOURS' collecting big support from DJs. Recently, with his alias 'HouseHeadz00', he opened his only vinyl label called 'HouseHeadz records' collecting lot of supports from DJs around the world.

"In this mix I included one of the tracks from my recently released EP on my label 'HouseHeadz' (vinyl only), alongside the tracks that have influenced my production over time and continue to inspire my upcoming work."
