'Move On Down' is the first track to come from the forthcoming EP by Lazy Legs 'House Tools'.

Lazy Legs is a House producer, writer and DJ based in the North West of England, with an eclectic and wide genre of musical influences. After years of working the nationwide club scene he moved into the studio working under a variety of different alias' and collaborating with a number of different artists and DJs. Now under the name Lazy Legs, he has poured his wealth of experience and creative spark into his first solo EP ‘House Tools’ which will be released via Duo-Tone in May 2021.
 
He started his career as a house and techno DJ in the North West after falling in love with the club scene at the world famous Bugged Out nights held at Cream Liverpool. After playing various local venues he then went on to play nationwide, eventually holding residencies in the likes of BED in Sheffield, The End in London and Mint Club in Leeds. He also ran and promoted his own nights in his home town of Liverpool, at Le Bateau and The Zanzibar Club. 
 
Mainly focusing on remixes and re-edits he also started providing studio production tuition and ghost writing for DJs in Ibiza. This then led him on to working for House record label Duo-Tone as a mix engineer, writer and remixer as part of their in-house production team Duo-Tone Productions. In this role he earned a top 10 hit in the UK Club Charts with Gazelle’s track ‘Keep on Moving’ in 2019. 
 
Liverpool based record label Duo-Tone initially made a name for themselves with a series of club nights in the city before evolving into the label dynamic with a series of eclectic mix of House, Electronic and Nu-Disco releases. They have now expanded beyond this format and built an in-house production team releasing their own tracks  together with their favourite DJs and vocalists under the name of Duo-Tone Productions. Recent collaborations with vocalist Tori Cross, Defected Records’ Glitterbox DJ Natasha Kitty Katt and GRAMMY nominated K-Klass have received consistent Upfront Charts placement and nationwide support from BBC Introducing and more.
 
After many years of collaboration and ghostwriting, Lazy Legs is now drawing on all his experience and musical knowledge to bring out this debut 4-track EP.

Lost In Musique EP011

PAO combines sentiment and flow for his debut track ‘Eyes On The Road (feat. Yukimura)’. New to the Australian music scene, his sound explodes with colourful synths layered with vocal chops whilst auto-tuned vocals from Yukimura envelope layers of deeper meaning, the result being a fresh take on future bass. 

Injecting emotion back into an upbeat and pop-laden top line, ‘Eyes On The Road’ encapsulates an accessible understanding of reflective experience for listeners driven by strong bass at its core. Structured and spacious verses of lo-fi vocals from Yukimura and dreamy verbed-out guitar primes the unleashing of a synth heavy drop, rhythmically chopped to counteract any chance of recycled familiarity. The track echoes the excitement associated with connecting to new places and forming new relationships having been produced over multiple locations in Northern WA.

With more releases on the way, PAO continues to innovate future bass, adding a layer of emotion to the bounce we have come to love and know fans will too.

@day2knight (Reagan Whitcombe) debut release on Lab Six Records ‘Made A Fool’ (feat. Claudia Harrison)’ produces an emotional narrative through circular arrangement, taking influence from melodic dubstep to mirror the internal rise and fall when faced with a disintegrating connection. Puritanical vocals from Claudia Harrison (The Voice) and the simplicity of guitar helps build the track to multiple breaks and drops, using fortified dub hits to expose a raw centre and impactful hook. 

“The break-through moment on the track was definitely when Claudia jumped
onboard and did the vocals as that tied together the track and gave it direction,” said D2K. 

Combining pared-back instrumentals with meticulously sequenced bass and toms  creates a balance between light and dark, of optimism and losing control, which further accents the clear lyrical message. “The track is about a break up and the road that the two people take, resolving in happiness for only one of them,” comments D2K.

Drops are made more powerful through the creation of space in build-ups to highlight vocals, working as a palate cleanser in preparation for the drop of tumbling drums and an unforgettable vocal hook, laden with empowerment. 

With ‘Made A Fool’ being his debut release, D2K has definitely primed listeners for impressive future releases.

Although he's a relatively new face on the scene, ACHILLES has exhibited a relentless work ethic along with an infectious house sound that has captivated listeners. Did you ever imagine Chris Brown taking you to prom? Or have you ever thought it’d be a great idea for Usher to cover the Disney hit ‘A Whole New World’? Now press play on Jurell’s debut ‘One Night Only’.

This half-disney prince, half-RnB super star combines polished production, rich vocal tones and a killer hook (not to mention his undeniable good looks) that’ll have you listening on repeat. ‘One Night Only’ could easily be sandwiched into a playlist between Chris Brown’s modern classic ‘Forever’ and Usher’s 2016 electropop release ‘Crash’ - it’s not out of place. 

‘One Night Only’ has all the markings of a hit; clean pop production, easy dance floor groove and unreal vocals. 

A true highlight is the pre-chorus; Jurell’s innate vocal talent honed by years of gospel, has just a slight intentional wink of autotune, making the track relevant to today’s listeners and leading to an electronic finish that is equal parts inspiring and groovy. The song’s classic pop arrangement creates space for well-written lyrics and spotlight’s Jurell’s immaculate falsetto. You can’t help but sing along (or try to).

The ebbing lyrical delivery and expert hook will have you living inside the life of this track, playing it over and over whilst pretending you’re in a Video Hits film clip rolling down the freeway in your dream convertible, your hair blowing stylishly in a flattering and sexy amount of warm summer wind. 

Jurell could easily be Australia’s answer to Justin Bieber. Watch this space.

Flaneur’s first release on Lab Six Records is liminal yet tangible. ‘Far Away’ incorporates an addictive hook, piano house topline and spacious vocals create easy listening and summery submersion. 

A somewhat softened break-beat carries the track forwards and balances the nearly lo-fi indie-pitched vocals from Sun City’s Dan Mackey Combining vocal elements reminiscent of the late 2000’s Cut Copy era and Northeast Party House echo with a reverby piano house signature keeps it fresh and natural avoiding a sharpness through over-production. The careful variation in drum volume builds and releases an organic human groove. 

‘Far Away’ is undeniably a salty-air soundscape for your summer to come.
