Bio

Venessa Jackson is a South African songwriter, vocalist, performer who is about to venture on her first journey outside of her homeland. Venessa was influenced by her mother to sing at a very young age and won her first competition at 6 years old. Fast forward 33 years and there is not a day where Venessa doesn’t pick up a pen and writing pad. If she isn’t working on writing vocals, she is in the studio recording her magic. She currently has over a hundred releases consisting of originals, cover reworks, and remixes. She has recently been honoured to be featured in the new book ‘LADY OF THE HOUSE’ where she joins 181 other inspirational women to share their stories of the part, they have played in Dance Music’s past, present & future. Venessa continues to release new music and is constantly expanding her catalog with major labels in the House and Dance community.

RaJuR "realdeepkool": Multi-Instrumentalist, Music Producer, Studio Owner/Engineer, Recording Artist, Recording Academy/Grammy Member, Actor, Model, Social Media Influencer, Niche Fragrance Collector, U.S.Navy Military Veteran and Train Engineer.

​Back in​ 1970, RaJuR was exposed to the guitar, similar to how the GREAT Ray Charles was introduced to the piano.  During a trip with His parents, uncle, and aunt to Brooklyn, his Uncle Bud took him to his friends house, a jazz guitar player.  He remembers the guitarist asking him. "so you wanna play guitar huh?"  He remembers saying shyly, "yes I would!!!!

That was the beginning of the 50 year journey in the music business. After Begging his father to buy a guitar from the 5&10 store on 22nd and Cambria St, the answer was NO, and he knew why....He wanted RaJuR to be a doctor, lawyer, etc, NOT a musician THen years later, owning and operating his own recording studio in the very home he received the answer of NO in, his father would see the fruits of his ambitions...finally!!

 Though he did WELL in school, from the 5-8 grades, tutoring other students, appearing on TV in the morning doing school newscast for E.W.Rhodes Middle School, he KNEW he wanted to be a musician, actor, and more.

Then ONE YEAR everyone who lived in the north philadelphia neighborhood...24th and Allegheny, Judson St, Clearfield St etc, asked the parents to buy instruments.  His father gave in, and THERE IS WHERE WE ARE NOW!!  RaJuR real deep kool, multi-instrumentalist, producer, arranger, publisher, vocalist, Grammy Member and BMI Affiliate....all of these accomplishments while he work for SEPTA in Philadelphia since 1988.

But there's more.  While in the U.S.Navy from 1979-1982, he continued to pursue music as he worked on military aircraft in Lemoore California, and sailed around half the world on the U.S.S Constellation with his fighter squadron the VA-146 Blue Diamonds.  He formed a band in California on base as well as performed on the aircraft carrier during the 6 month cruises called the WESPAC. He sailed 3 times actually, the first time during the Iran Hostage Crisis. After he left the Navy.....HE started building his own studio in North Philadelphia...RocDaHouse Studios.

During His career, he's been exposed to, worked for and worked with Well known Artist as well as aspiring artist in Philadelphia and abroad. From Hidden Beach Records for Jill Scott to Brenda Russell, to BoyIIMen & LL.Cool J, as a tech for the "hey Lover Single, appearing the the Unauthorized biography book of BoyZIIMen "UsIIYou". He's also met PINK in his studio via Lamar Alexander from MaRaJi Entertainment, before she went on tour, actuallly taking 4 songs with her he produced. He's had Curt Chambers, Gourdan Banks by way of Sherman Byers in his studio as well.  He helped DJ Jazzy Jeff and the 4th Callowhill Crew to purchase some Tannoy Speakers, he used on Jill Scotts first album, from Mars Music in New Jersey. He's performed with Erykah Badu at Silk City by way of James Poyser, Rick Tate Jr, and guitar Tim Motzer.  There's many other artist he helped develop via studio sessions, production work, and working as the RocDaHouse Studio Engineer in his North Philadelphia Studio.

RaJuR submitted the "real deep kool" album for Grammy consideration in 2016 and "2Faceded" in 2017 was his second submission. Though he didn't receive a nomination, the excitement of it all was "The BEST" and thoroughly EXCITING for him..  Since the event was in New York, New York It was close to Philly/Cheltenham, RaJuR took advantage and spent the day at the Hilton Inn in NY, around the corner from the event.

RaJuR has also hosted his own "Open Mic Night" at Chucks Alibi.

Etharix is the alias of Taralynn (she/her) — a DJ, community connector, and Sonic Storyteller behind the decks. Born and raised in Rochester, NY, and shaped by her years in Austin, TX, and now living in North Carolina since 2012, Taralynn has spent her life surrounded by sound, sub•culture, and a deep love for underground Electronic Music.

Her sound as Etharix lives in the liminal space between movement and reflection — curating journeys through Liquid Drum & Bass, ambient textures, and deep, rolling bass-lines that capture the stillness of 3am thoughts and the gravity of introspective dance floors. Through her various ‘Liquid’ titled mix series, she channels a late-night energy meant for long drives, quiet headphones, deep conversations, the bedroom, or the afterglow of a good night out — sonic offerings for those who feel most alive when the world slows down.

The name Etharix was chosen with intention: a blend of Eth—UH—Rix = As in Ethereal + Matrix 

The —Etha (—UH) part of her name, which hints at an otherworldly, immersive vibe that reflects the deep ambient soundscapes that she creates. from the word ‘Ethereal’ and mystique, which is derived from the definition of the word ‘Matrix’, it represents a personal transformation and a deeper commitment to music as both art and emotional resonance. 

The —rix” the ending of the name ‘Etharix’ adds a sharp, futuristic edge — which suggests mastery and innovation in my techniques. Which,  I always continue to consistently work on as I create each mix. My personal goal is always to make consistent progress in the technical areas of creating mixes and / or eventually learning to produce music as well.

In addition to DJing, Taralynn is also the founder and driving force behind Sub Low Triangle — an Electronic Music event promotion platform serving the Triangle area of North Carolina and beyond. While she doesn’t currently throw events herself, she uplifts and amplifies the work of others — connecting people, scenes, and sounds. Sub Low Triangle is her way of giving back to the community she loves, making it easier for people to find the music, spaces, and each other.

Whether behind the decks as Etharix, behind the scenes with Sub Low Triangle, or simply dancing in the crowd, Taralynn moves with intention, care, and deep respect for the music that moves us all.
