A short composition consisting of themes I'm extremely fond of. Initially I wanted to experiment with it more, but decided to keep as compact and unassuming as possible, in the manner of various moment musicaux written by composers such as Schubert. 
Dedicated to one of my greatest and most special friend, Marko Paradžik, who was amazed when hearing the main theme for the first time (although when I showed him again much later he said it was horrible).

It was like in the spy action movie. You find yourself in the middle of atomic bunker of communist era with mission to find the secret document and escape before time’s up and guardians catch you.

It was about 2 years back. We made our first escape game in the heart of Prague. And yes, we did it!!!

In year 2016 we made the successful ascent of Aconcagua (6,962 m).
It was good rock&roll. 
I still have in my mind the hard moments when we have been nailed down to ground on the place called Portezuelo del Viento evaluating if we still have a chance to keep going up.
All this memory turned into this kind of folk&jazz piece. I had good fun to make this music. As good as making this nice summit with good band of friends.

Chilling Valentines

This is my hit for Swiss Music Awards. Or at least for Naomi Awards in category Outstandingly Bad Contribution to Music.
Or this is the outcome of experiment related to Mike Cohn’s article about “Six Agile Product Development Myths” (Myth #1: Isn’t Agile Just for Software Development?).
Anyway it doesn’t matter what it is. I had really good fun doing it.
Music and video are all done by iPhone (GarageBand with Rock Live Loop Grid and Clips), final compilation in Abode Elements, using Agile approach with spirit of “Think Big, Start Small, Learn Fast” and “Fail Fast, Fail Often, And Follow Your Passion”.

OK, first of all - Yes, sorry, it's in Czech... And yes, you have to notice the punk is NOT dead. And especially Czech punk is not dead.

However this song Chlupatý kolena (Hairy knees) has long story. The very first draft of few chord and basic melody crossed my mind the day after the boss of the boss of my boss announced the company’s decision to value more the price of share over the value of people and therefore the company decided to turn upside down life of my 450 colleagues. Collective dismissal.
That time the song's working name was simply - Angry.

But… time flies. Few weeks later I found myself with coffee on sunny terrace in the middle of summer. Me and my Czech friend. Let’s call her my-YouTube-channel-subscriber-#007.

Me not in very good mood, her in short skirt and in similar mood. And with not well shaved legs/knees. And that, despite the view wasn’t very funny, made us laughing like hell… That moment I said myself “damn company and damn bosses”… On the end they do the same as me – trying to do their best for their bosses and trying to deserve their wage and their yearly bonuses.

And so the original idea got twisted from Angry to something inspired by that moment making me laughing.

It took me some time to find courage and try to record the singing. Until today I sang only as kind of self-defense and so far it worked veeeery well. Hope this one will not kill you...

Chlupatý kolena

There are things in life which remain completely out of reach. They are like inaccessible dreams which, when you stop and think about them, make you fall in the deep abyss of reflection. What it takes to be able to do that, how does one who master it sees the world, how different one understanding it is? For some, it’s to speak another language with the maestro of a native, for others it’s to go on the Moon or to know by heart the 10’000 first decimals of Pi.

For me, this is to have a “PhD in Earth Science”! This song, in brutal style of 80s electro, is inspired by my daughter’s godfather and my partner’s brother. Everywhere he goes, he licks stones, which makes you doubt about his insanity. When climbing, he gives you tip to step not on a crimp but on a tiny crack of schist, which is obviously too unintelligible to be helpful. He is calling himself a geologist, but he speaks mainly about carrots, which makes everyone doubt about his real profession. Really, him and his associates from UNIGE, makes me feel we don’t really belong to the same world. The only moment one can really have a connection with his class is when sharing a good drink together.. But, be careful, those “gardeners” who obviously see things differently are able to make an island dry!

And, when I think about it, you know what makes me dizzy and not far from freaking out? This song of “Uncle Aymeric LeCo” is my 5 years old son favorite one!

Ladat, born Ladislav Tesar, is Litomerice (Czech republic) native, body and soul, who writes and composes his music in Chatel-St-Denis, Switzerland. Ladat is not a band in the true sense of the word, but rather a musical project that emerged in 2019 as an escape from reality, because things go better with music.
