Alisha Pais is a singer songwriter from Mumbai, with rich powerful husky vocals and guitar. She plays an eclectic mix of haunting originals and interpreted covers both contemporary and retro that carry the audience on a reflective journey through life, love and longing.   She is known for her raw solo performances and has been seen/heard singing in collaboration with some of india’s most interesting artists.   

Whether you hear her play at an intimate inner city gig or watch her take on bigger stages at festivals like nh7, storm, live from the console, raagasthan, sunburn, etc… you will be warmed by the music.  

Pais made her television debut on Vh1 Music Diaries and on Discovery's Travel and Living Channel, performing her own compositions.  She was also invited to perform on the tv show titled ‘the stage’, as one of india’s top 20 artists.

Fame the band, a quartet based out of sleepy Tura, Meghalaya, decided to leave for greener pastures to the city that never sleeps, Mumbai. They relocated in 2017 as a band.  Shifting base is always difficult, but to move as a team takes a little more than the usual. This determination is captured well in the music. They have a laid back vibe with a forward moving motion in the music. Their style is hard to pigeon hole. There is a folkie soul backed by loads of prog-ish rhythms and undertones of alternative, garage music from the 90’s. All these influences create a unique vibe.

Nouns, their debut album, is a myriad of sounds. The songs go from hopefully hopeful tunes to angular riff cuts across mourning vocals. It gets dark but never dark enough as there is light at the of this tunnel. It is loaded with 3 minute pop tunes that has been said to leave you with the desire to hear it all over again.

The four of them are childhood friends which reflects in the music. The bonds are deep and like any relationship that stands the test of time, is not trouble free. The band has toured across India and Nepal since the release of their albumhaving played at major venues across both countries. Since closing out their album tour with a performance at Orange Festival, Dambuk back in 2017, the band has gone on to play at various festivals - Ragasthan in Jaisalmer to festivals held among the North Eastern hill ranges, college festivals and recently at India Story, Kolkata and Bacardi NH7 Weekender, Pune.

Ladies Compartment is a dynamic all-female music project based out of Mumbai.   The name 'Ladies Compartment' is a tribute to the daily trials of a working woman in the city of Mumbai, along with the almost cinematic romanticism of local trains. 

The members of the group initially came together to share their interests in American folk, jazz, blues, indie, and Carnatic Indian classical traditions just like the passengers in a ladies train compartment; each with their own unique story to tell. What started as a band has now evolved into a larger project. Ladies Compartment being an all female ensemble currently comprises of well established musicians along with upcoming talented local female artists. 

Band members include Ramya Pothuri (on acoustic and vocals)and Aarifah Rebello (on drums and vocals), Aditi Ramesh(on keys and vocals), and Nandita V.(on bass and vocals).

The band hopes to write and perform more, record their original music and execute the many diverse ideas they daydream about in the middle of serious jam sessions.
