Brahms composed two string sextets, in which he paid tribute to three composers he revered, Haydn, Beethoven and Schubert, as well as exploring a musical genre that had rarely been used before, and also new harmonies. At their best, Brahms’ sextets can demonstrate why it is that playing or listening to chamber music can be as totally absorbing, overwhelming, and ultimately satisfying as an experience with the largest symphonic works.

Hey, my name's Chris (obviously) and I'm a cellist and I'm a beginning composer (started).  I would say I'm more of a classical composer than any other genre or style of music cause classical music is the music I like the most I would say. I will probably be writing more string quartets than anything because string instruments are my specialty lel. Let's see what happens as I compose more music. And thank you to anyone that listens and comments to my music (I don't think that was grammatically correct lel), I take anyone's comments as advice and as support on this composition journey I'm going into. Creativity is not something that can be turned on and off like a tap . . . 
Art is a labour of love, a question of patience and concentration. To place demands on it, criteria, quotas, damages it, slowly kills it. Art, like nature, must be allowed to develop and to grow, in order to attain plenitude. Following this principle, La Dolce Volta prefers to privilege quality over quantity. A bandeau is wrapped around each album, on which is printed the name of the soloist, the name of the composer, and the work performed. 
For La Dolce Volta, music is not just a shrink-wrapped object for sale. Like all beautiful things in life, it must come to fruition naturally, the result of careful craftsmanship, and offered like an exquisite flower.
