Beatum tirelessly explores music in all its forms, revealing particularly its richness in the fusion between traditional world and electronic music. His unclassifiable mixes, with a eclectic selection, are built on a slow tribal progression where frequencies seem to oppose each other and yet, in a harmonious way, leave us free to our own emotional interpretation, thus offering the dance-floor a vibration of a rare intensity.

Born on Road is a Bristol-based record label and DJ collective firmly rooted at the heart of drum and bass and jungle’s underground music scene. Since being established in 2013, we’ve built a reputation as an eclectic outfit known for pushing good music. It doesn’t matter if it’s jungle, jump up, ragga or some sublime vocal work, if we vibe with it then we’ll champion it to the masses.

This is an attitude born from our history in the underground music scene, where the free-flowing energy of sound system culture formed the foundations of the label’s all-inclusive ethos. It’s the reason why we’ve quickly grown into a sprawling music family who all support one another’s careers. From stage takeovers at festivals including Boomtown and Glastonbury, to signing the most exciting homegrown talents, Born on Road are always looking for ways to drive forward the underground scene, along with the artists inside it.

We may be a new wave music label, but we adopt the old school approach of putting the music first before anything else. This journey has been an eventful one so far, but there’s still plenty more to come on the road ahead.

Ixindamix and Maskk met in the Italian free party scene of the 90's. A similar taste in slamming beats and twisted Synthlines led to regular bookings together and the studio sessions naturally followed.

Nell’ottobre 2013 Maskk con Ixindamix : “Don’t panik” , prodotto dal' etichetta francese AUDIOTRIX. Ixindamix e Maskk si sono incontrati negli anni Novanta nella scena dei free-party.
Un comune gusto per I beat molto potenti e per I suoni sinth più elaborati che li ha portati ad un continuo incontro nelle numerose date insieme.
Questo lavoro in studio ne è la conseguenza naturale.

Mistikri apprivoise les platines très jeune avec un père Dj et une sono massive fait maison.
Elle élargit sa culture et ses choix musicaux en prenant le chemin des musiques émergentes en 1995 pour un long et éclectique voyage sonore au sein du Sound System Tomahawk, puis  Dropin Caravan et se produit parallèlement dans des salles de concerts et festivals alternatifs.
Toujours à l'affût des musiques d'ailleurs, Mistikri recherche les sensations entre offbeat, techno, noise et influences ethniques. Elle vous entraîne dans un voyage sonore extravagant, coloré et polyrythmique, vous transportant dans sa dimension éthérée, mystique dont elle seule a le secret. 

Mistikri a partagé la scène avec Kaophonic Tribu, Babylon Circus, Highlight Tribe, Vaudoo Game, Schlaasss, General hydrophonic, Lakay, l'Entourloop, Beatum, 69DB, Deadwood, Babylon Joke...

Mistikri learned to play the turntables at a very early age, thanks to her father, a DJ, and a massive homemade sound system.
She enlarged her musical culture and selections by taking the emerging music route in 1995 for a long and eclectic sonic journey within the Tomahawk sound system, then Dropin Caravan, and in parallel performed in alternative concert halls and festivals.
Always on the lookout for music from elsewhere, Mistikri seeks out the sensations between off-beat beats, techno, noise and ethnic influences takes you on an extravagant, colourful and polyrhythmic sonic journey, transporting you into her ethereal dimension of mystical of which only she has the secret. 

Mistikri è stata introdotta ai giradischi in tenera età dal padre, un DJ, e da un enorme impianto audio casalingo.
Ha ampliato la sua cultura e le sue scelte musicali prendendo la strada della musica emergente nel 1995 per un lungo ed eclettico viaggio sonoro come parte del Tomahawk Sound System, poi Dropin Caravan, e allo stesso tempo esibendosi in sale da concerto e festival alternativi.
Sempre alla ricerca di musica d'altrove, Mistikri cerca le sensazioni tra offbeat, techno, noise e influenze etniche. Vi accompagna in un viaggio sonoro stravagante, colorato e poliritmico, trasportandovi nella sua dimensione eterea, mistica, il cui segreto è solo suo.
